Those drawings are fine art chalk or pencils drawings, they are as far from a cartoon as Carlos Slim is from being poor.
She seems to be well enough versed in the subject to have landed and keep the job at the Met; perhaps it's her detractors who lack the full understanding of terms and their meaning.
It would be helpful for viewers if the presenter would edit the subtitles in order to more closely match the audio.
