Starts early the next day Arrives in Sadaoo in the late afternoon Then crosses the border on day three in the morning. The negative is that that road is so boring. You could send your Carnet to a pre-booked hotel in Sadaoo

    Watched from Sydney Australia, I agree with you we need plan B or C when life doesn’t go as planned. As a Chinese Australian I am sorry your couple were denied a visa to enter China, otherwise I would watch your China adventure journey now which would be totally different from what you have experienced in other parts of the world.
    Anyway you have my respect and thumbs up for your courage, resilience and determination to get your global van travel done. Cheers 😅

    Buy a transportable AC for Trudi. You can ask for electric at restaurants or homestays for a budget!

      Great idea but we really dont have much space in the van and would have to be hooked up

    • @SolarVibeEnergy

      @@TREADtheglobe I know would take some space but a small power station (that many van lifers have) that you can charge from cigar lighter or solar as well as ac. I've a run portable small Aircon you approx 7-25 watts (obviously more when need cool air down more) fan on & would last many hrs also have a rechargable battery one. Safe happy travels, look forward to seeing Phuket again next wk.

    Worst case, maybe you could leave the van in Thailand, do a border crossing and come back same day or next day. Then you have another 30 day in Thailand while you wait for the van logistics to pan out.

    • @TREADtheglobe
      @TREADtheglobe 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yep if the CDP had not arrived that would have been an option - but as we are on an expedition around the world we decided to just go for it and ship from Port Klang as we had the agent lined up 😉

    PTT tankstations are government owned, so that's why they are popular. Although in the past everyone skipped PTT because it was the only tankstation who doesn't provide water after refueling. They changed that. Nevertheless you can actually use every tankstation in Thailand.

      Its worth getting the fuel stations loyalty cards if you live in thailand, thai g/f got an esso and pt cards,.
