- 550 Paracord has a number of applications and uses beyond simply stringing up a ridge line for a shelter. In this video, I'll present how to use 550 cord to create snares, how cut parachute cord without a knife, use it to upgrade your kit, and even start a survival fire.

BTW - you're awesome, especially if you've read this much. There's not many like you - Thanks for hanging out with me here for a few minutes.
This was awesome. Seems like paracord is the duct tape of the rope world.
A couple of more to add to the list. Use the inner thin white cordage to use as fishing line. In addition you can use that same thin white cordage as a trip line or perimeter warning line. Use mud to conceal the white coloring and string around your camp perimeter attached to a banger. I like to use a 20 gauge blank shot in a spring loaded puncture case. String the wire about 18 inches off the ground. Try and string it so that it flows directly horizontal and perpendicular to the path of approach.
☝️☝️
I love those alarms, what do you think about using 50 lb fishing line
Well done Bill
Glad to see that I'm not the only one that likes to use figure-8 knots as stopper knots, instead of an overhand knot, especially for Canadian jam knots!
And if you haven't replaced your shoe/boot laces with 550-cord - your wrong, so drop and give me 50!!
🤣😂😂 he’s right! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Oops, in your sentence "... your wrong...", is an all-too-common grammar error. It should be either you're or you are. Yes, when spoken both you're and your sound alike, however when written both present completely different meanings and usages. When written that which follows your is something belonging to the person you are writing to. Hope this helps you and others as well.
Thank you
I've been using 550 cord as bootlaces for years. Just learned a new reason to do so, the escape! Thanks for another great video, Stoker. Btw, I seen the alien 3 times, I think. Twice for sure. Lol. Have to rewatch, huh?👍
Outstanding Top! The uses for 550 cord are virtually as endless as duct tape!! The furry little critter at the end, will make a fine meal!!😎
@ 9:13 green guy cameo. Roswell 🤣
I use the same type of jam knots for cinching. That's the way I was taught. Good shit, buddy. The piss joke had me laughing. I think I saw the alien 3 times.
This was great, Hoss! Keep them coming! 👍
Another great video Stoker. When I get time, I'm watching older videos til you bring Another new video. Stoked to learn more
1k likes, your welcome. but also thankyou, this was a very well made video and i appreciated the tips😊

Nice Sunday video, I really like your demonstrations.
What is with the alien 👽? Good refresher video
My cousin likes to make a scene every now and then.
Finally replaced my stocker and yale sandy, its tritium vials had long gone dark. Love my new commenga !
Awesome! Hope you still held on the old one, it’s a classic!
That was great!!!!!! I loved using it to get out of the zip ties.
That flexicuff trick is pretty clever 👌
Fantastic content. As always. Good old zippo lol
Here's to that squirell 🥂

This is what I want to know about paracord! Thank you!
Appreciate you sharing your wisdom and time for the betterment of man.

Stokermatic does ASMR. 🤙 I'm diggin' it!
One of the best! I like this new formula! Best regards
Nice stuff. Might see you next weekend depending on how PT goes on Friday.
Hope it works out! Location changed to meet up at Dickerson Water Fall parking lot. Still 1100.
PETA is going to be all this …😁 Cool cutting the zip ties . Have a great evening
😁
I've seen alot of people lace boots with the left to right at start on bottom. That way it's less likely to snag on brush as your going through thick brush. I have done it as well in past and worked well. Think I saw PVT Alien 4x.
Great video. Interesting and useful content. I really like the outdoor format. My bear bag is very similar.
Super Awesome video ... I had a similar idea. We need more vids like these
Great video. Very useful information
Outstanding video as always !!
Crazy how fast the friction heat breaks the cord. Faster than the lighter! A failure point to consider for sure.
I like the bowline on the end of the jam knot for a release. I just used a figure of 8 or an ashley stopper for a grip. Until now that is . hahaha Carry on.
No squirrel dumplings were made during the filming of this video. 😂
Awesome! Def taking some of these with me
Good video , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Awesome
Great hacks! I am going to try a few of them. Where can I get a sweater like yours? It looks warm.
New: amzn.to/41OPxLN
Or stop by a surplus store.
pace count aka ranger bead set, fishing net, both of which I did in air assault. also great windlass game trap. 550 cord super useful
Great video, thanks
Thank you, learned a lot!
Learned some good stuff today! Thanks, and Subscribed!
🥃
Great video!
Cool vid
Do you or anyone else have problems with ticks? It’s always important to check yourself around here. Stay stoked man.
No ticks here thank goodness!
@@STOKERMATIC that’s awesome you’re very lucky , we have a terrible problem with ticks here in Northern NY you really have to check yourself constantly because they can bury themselves in your skin and they do carry Lyme disease , my dog got it from a tick. Usually every year I get a decent amount of them on myself because I live in the woods and there is no avoiding it.
The little green man is back lol and I saw him three time not including the into.
Right on! He’ll be back!
Btw.. I have paracord in my boots, as we speak.
Great video, in a previous video , two things Holiday Food and Pocket Knife, in this video the snare was cool, I am not sure about that wild critter , it looked a little tough.
it's very educational and entertaining
Excelent video, thank you
Hey Stoke,
Just liked and shared. You don't use the USGI Assault Pack, ever??
👊
No, I don’t like the assault pack to be honest.
Great video
The title to this vid should be how to escape a rapist in the woods with only Paracord lol
That poor squirrel...How Dare You....! 😂
🤣😂
Do you happen to have a video on making good knots with paracord?
Can start here:

🥃
good work mate...when does smoking and drinking started take care buddy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Saw the alien at least twice.
This was an Ok video.
Out standing info. Knew some of it...learned some new valuable info. I really like your channel. You've got your s%[& together. Thanx
Appreciate that Charles!
🔥
How did that 10999 degree melted paracord feel when you melted it onto your hand? BTDT!
😂🤣 I got lucky this time!
Lol fooled me on fire and flask
Q: What is the best paracord to have? A: The paracord you have on you when you need it the most!
Thinking out loud; 550 cord stretches, things like the old Spectra cord stretch less. So making pack zipper pulls would it be any advantage to use both? And does bank line have any place in this?
I used the survival cord for the pulls, it then provided tinder for the fire.
I wouldn’t use bankline TBH for that. But that’s just me.
Yep! 🥃
🇺🇸🥃🇺🇸
My dude just cut paracord with……..paracord
tying things with paracord is a survival hack?
go ahead and youtube "How to cook a florida corn snake"

E X C E L L E N T !
((((( FRED ))))
Coolest video. Great paracord tips and tricks.
👽Intro, Backpack (several times), Fire (at least two), and Shelter
I always carry paracord no matter where I am or what I meant I've got 100 ft of paracord in my pickup and I have 50 feet in backpack
Thank you for this video. Great tips and techniques!
I only caught the alien twice but LOTS of useful uses for paracord I didn't know about!
Glad ya enjoyed it!
Can someone explain to me why the cord held in your hands is not the piece of cord that gets cut when you use one piece of paracord to cut another
The one in my hands is moving, so the heat generated is spread. Whereas the line between feet is static, so all the heat is located at one spot. 👊
Nice video 🤙🏼
Tell me about the backpack please
Tactical tailor, fight light removable operator pack.
@@STOKERMATIC thank you!
