2 years ago I made this quick edit to solve a very niche problem, but I didn't think it would be a comfort to so many people. This specific part of Deepy Stone Lullaby has even gained new meaning for some of you, and I'm humbled by that. I don't know if I'll create something like this again going forward, but just know that I'll never forget how this has made you all feel. Sleep tight, Guardians.☕
I beg you to never remove this. I’ve been looking for a version that just has the peaceful parts. A longer version is just the icing on the cake. I’m going to fall asleep to this tonight. Thank you.
@@Stinger20638 @immortaltg7283 a final farewell, a promise to reunite in the place beyond death. many people and many cultures make it a tradition to give similar farewell messages to the deceased, promises to reunite in the afterlife, or a promise to honor their memory, or an expression of grief. such messages are often written with deliberately poetic or or metaphorical structure. death to many people is the longest and final sleep one takes, and it ends when all have fallen into it and the world has ended at which point they all wake up and see each other again. A Hunter, a Titan, a Warlock. A barren wasteland, of stark white snow, skin piercing cold, and raging thunder clouds... And a Destination filled with peril, despair, and death. *Just another day for a Guardian...*

I just cried my eyes out thinking about how a man who I have never even personally met had such a huge impact on my life. I never met him, and never will. He died 4 days ago. The news was so abrupt that I barely had time to register it. But now I am realizing how permanent death is. In an instant, this person was taken away and nobody will ever see or hear them again. The memories of my childhood, talking with his character, going on missions for him, exploring the solar system with him. God it just hurts so much. I miss you Lance. Wherever you are, out there in the stars, wait for me and my fireteam, and let’s go raid one last time.
This raid tells not just a story, but a journey of people trying to get out of their past. Into the future. This edition not only makes this journey feel like you’re apart of it, it makes you feel like the reason for the journey. You want to explore and find your future, you faced godlike judgment, it extended eternally, and you were gifted with luck and peace, realizing you found your future, you found what you sought out on a journey for. But something doesn’t feel quite right, you realize your past makes you who you are, but you can’t go back for it is too late. You slowly forget who you are and become expressionless. You’re being transferred to an Exo. Your mind is being recreated. You are starting anew. You will not figure out your past until your future has been completed.
I always had this thought... What if The Original Mind which is getting transfered to Exo shell from a body of flesh and bone actually dies? And Exo - is none but a copy of this Mind, full and perfect (sometimes not lol) but a copy? It has everything TOM had - memories, habits, consciousness and actually considers itself as TOM but really not TOM. And no one other can really differ them. It's quite creepy, y'know.
@@TheSoundita I'm religious so my personal beliefs is that human beings are not allowed to transfer SOULS. So does the SOUL die when the Exo is awoken? Are they merely a copy of the bits and pieces of the mind of the human? But then, why do Exos FEEL the same as their human mothers and fathers? Our soul is a gateway for emotions. So what if, truly, the soul travels with the mind? What if those Exos are holding onto fragments and itty pieces of a broken soul from their human parents? Just something I've always thought about. I play an Exo and those thoughts always come to me randomly when playing. The subject of souls, AI and consciousness are super interesting to me.
The crescendo fit so well with the mission and the words. But not without it all. The calm parts of the song are the best parts, what makes it so memorable. In a game with the likes of gunslinger, cabal stomp, and dozens of other high octane and powerful music themed for clashes and firefights, this song stuck out. When people talk about this song, they never mention the crescendo. They never mention the brass. They always mention the first few notes, the piano, and the sweeping strings. They mention the angelic chorus and how, for a brief moment, they were able to sit back and breathe. They could relax. They could feel. Just like the exos, they could finally sit back and feel without having to be torn apart or tear apart. This was clarity. And for the briefest of moments, we could all feel it... Clarity.
First time I did the raid with a bunch of first timers, EVERYONE went silent for the whole spacewalk. Not even an "I got you" when we all fell. NOTHING, SILENCE. To this day, the most BEAUTIFUL experience in a raid I've had!

I appreciate you so much. For this weirdly-specific video, and for reminding me that I'm not alone. I always wanted this version of the lullaby, but never said it out loud. And here it is. I told my wife that this video made me realize that there is always someone out there who understands you, and it made her tear up.
The only thing that might slightly improve this is having Clovis Bray’s “enjoying yourselves, intruders?” loop every few minutes in the background at an indoor talking volume
This was sent to me by my 15 year old Grandson because he thought that I would like it...I don't like it...I LOVE it. I play this a few times a day and just day dream. I do not know the game etc, but that doesn't matter...this music can mean more when you just listen and wonder at the brilliance of the person who wrote it. Thank you sincerely.
My dude, thank you..shout-out to people (like you) who know what people like and want and make it happen. As strange as it sounds, in a sense..you're a hero bro. Thank you yet again. Also giving credit to Bungie, their music has always been a phenomenal piece of art..from Halo to Destiny, this song..definitely hits hard. Again, you definitely wear a cape my dude, thank you thank you!
For those who enjoy this I recommend ODST piano ost, Skyrim atmospheres, Witcher skellige music and minecraft sleep music. Those all my tops over the roast 10 tens that have got me through a lot of long nights. Hope everyone’s out there believing tomorrow’s gonna be a good day cause that’s where it starts.😁inner peace
Damn that's funny because I've been listening to ODST ambience videos and Skyrim atmospheres for about a decade now!!! Glad there's others out there like me
hale-fucking-lujah. Finally a version where i can ponder and philisophize to my heart's content, and prepare a speech that i'll never have. Thanks, bro!
This was absolutely beautiful, as a warlock whos played sinse destiny 1, its a shame i didnt get to Experience any of these raids, as i dont have a fireteam to go with.. i can say this probs would have been my fave one if i had gotten to Experience them. Also RIP lance reddick youll be sorely missed o7.
cried like a baby listening to this in the raid when I realized it was the first thing my warlock ever heard as an exo. I'd known the lore behind this track for a while, but only recently heard it myself. man, beyond light is awesome.
I legit turn my music off in game and just loop this every day i play. There's nothing else. I don't get bored either because sometimes the music gets drowned out and then during impactful moments sometimes it just hits and its so revitalizing.
Oh! This is just screencap from the trailer for Beyond Light. You can see it on the official Destiny 2 channel, and the name of the video is "Destiny 2: Beyond Light - Reveal Trailer" at time-stamp 2:05.
