    Congratulations 🎉 to your new addition. My daughter wasn't planned, but she's definitely a blessing. She loves the outdoors and fishing, just like her dad. I just purchased a new 40 acre property and can't wait to introduce her and the boys to hunting.

    I've used the mock scrapes for the last 3 seasons. First year was unbelievably productive but it really decreased the next 2 years. Any explanation or ideas to fix this.

    I haven’t used a rope and probably won’t but what about Don Higgins? That’s what he uses. He does very well.
    Congrats on Lilly, and keep up the nice work.

      Hi Jordan! I think he has in the last few years? Couple of years? We've been doing this 2 decades 😊 And he in the past went to a couple dozen parcels a year at most. I've been to roughly 1600. Just experience wise I've been in a position to see both, 10s of thousands of times. Up to 500 rope scrapes on 1 parcel alone.
      Just experience...it matters 😉

    Congratulations on your new child! Glad everyone is doing well!
    I have a wild vine hanging over a deer trail, but they aren't touching it? Game camera shows them walking by, and once in a while they (doe) look at it but walk by. It's hanging down to my belt line, so not to tall. Any suggestions to get deer to hit my mock scrape and vine?

    Other than a rope being unnatural I think the biggest reason a vine or branch works better is the weight of it allows for better pre orbital gland secretion

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  6 месяцев назад

      It's stiffer too, which really matters. Think about a natural scrape...horizontal and very rigid! Until it breaks.
      I went from seeing the ropes on so many parcels...in MI largely. They were used marginally at best. This is going back 20 years ago. It was enough "gimmicky" that I never wanted to try it out. Then I thought of using vines in their place and the results were immediate and incredible. So many I visited went from ropes to natural vines or branches...and the rest is history 😊
      Whatever the reason, natural is by far the best...

    Do you have any recommendations on what type of tree branch to use in the southern states? Also, does a fresh cut branch work best or matter?

      It's just simply called experience. Some folks get butt hurt in the hunting industry because they have none 🤷🏻‍♂️ But when you have the most...flaunt it so folks can know the difference and weed thru all of the bad information out there. It's a public service, really 😊👍

    So many of these habitat experts want to talk about hemp ropes and how the deer like them more! I’m going to say BS how can you compare to a natural vine

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  6 месяцев назад +3

      I've seen thousands of them...enough to fully compare and a rope is a long ways off from something natural. You know when someone is a newbie in mock scrapes, when they use a rope 😊👍

    Women absolutely rule the roost. Any man pretending his woman isn't trying to tell him what to do is a liar.
    Any woman pretending she's not telling her man what to do is simply too busy herself or can't find him at the moment.
