Hi Jeanique, thank you for bringing attention to the price fixing case, I don't think it's a lawsuit but EU and Swiss regulators that are investigating the issue because of their anti trust laws (which these companies would be breaking). But you are right, I think it's been going on for donkey's years so why is this coming out now?.. I'm intrigues by your theory, keep us posted..
I’m not only outraged at the 4 companies, I’m outraged that it takes someone with a large company that does EQUAL damage to society to sue these companies because they are pissy about their profits and price they’re paying for services. Like are they going to drop their own product prices for detergent, toothpaste, cleaning products, hygiene products, etc. once they start saving on “fragrance”? And when the government charges the huge fines, are we getting a piece of that pie since we paid for it through the pipeline or is it going to the government’s piggybank per usual? As for the new perfumes part, I tried Dolce Violet and on my skin it smelled just like Versace Dylan Purple (which I was not expecting) and it had similar terrible lasting power. I’m OBSESSED with Dylan Purple and I’m so mad the performance sucks. Dolce has some good past releases with great lasting power in the past. I’m not sure why it’s so bad now. A lot of the releases in the last years have kinda bored me. I’m still mad they discontinued the best rose one, Rose Excelsia.
I'm glad I'm not the only one outraged that this could even happen. Can you believe that Firmenich was voted one of the most ethical companies in the world for 2 years running when they are being investigated for corruption? If that doesn't tell you where the bar is for how these companies are expected to do business, I don't even know. And it sucks that consumer protections aren't the priority but it's all about protecting one group of billionaires from losing money to different billionaires. The whole thing is just aggravating if you think too hard about it. I can't imagine being a small player in this space when all of the big guys have rigged the game while claiming to be ethical. Is that corporate gaslighting?
@@jeanique In this day and age I can believe anything outrageous. They might win most ethical company for a third year in a row while this is going on. These trophies and awards mean nothing anymore. At least to me they don’t. It’s not about what you’re really doing, it’s about who you know and what strings you can pull. It’s just funny to me to watch billionaires get upset and start fighting. Bring out the ring and pay-per-view no holds barred. 🤣👏
@@jeanique Me too! And if they suck I’m bringing all the shitty perfume to throw at them (full bottles of course) in place of tomatoes because this is a fragrance wrestling match so what else do you throw? Plus they made my pockets hurt so I’m going to make them and their pockets hurt if they suck.
VERY strange to NOT have any security cameras in a warehouse that houses such expensive fragrances and other items. Is this an insurance job? Very suspicious indeed!!
Fantastic video covering this! I haven’t really seen anyone else refer to this. I heard you mention The Bay and Shoppers and thought you must be Canadian! Yup. 😊
Thanks so much. I tried finding other videos covering this story because it's so huge and realized I couldn't find anything. All the deep dives were in the form of articles, especially on sites that cover stocks since a few of them are publicly traded companies and the investigation affected their stock price. I'm glad you enjoyed the vid. And yup, here in good ol CA.

Thanks for the love. And I'll definitely keep you posted

See I think that's possible! I didn't even think about insurance being a factor but it could very well been some kind of insurance job.
