Peets vs. Starbucks - Comparison and Coffee Review

- For coffee connoisseurs, or even your more casual caffeinators, there are more roasters than ever to choose from. But two, in particular, are goliaths of the coffee market. Be it positive or negative, the reputations of Peet’s coffee and Starbucks coffee precede them, and today we’ll take a closer look at these two coffee titans and judge which has the edge.
More specifically, we have poured through some of the best beans both coffee chains offer for sale online and have come up with a list of beans from each worth trying. At the end, we’ll consider which company has the edge regarding their beans for-sale. Hardcore fans of one or the other may have their reasons for swearing by their chosen coffee champion, but we’ll try here to take an unbiased look.

Peets is my favorite coffee. I love the Big Bang medium flavor..so smooth..
Starbucks French Roast is probably its best coffee as a full flavor Arabica. I don't really get smokey from it or the burnt taste of many "espresso" roasts. I prefer it over Peet's French Roast. Look forward to trying Peet's Major Dickason's one day.
Since the sale of peets coffee tea co was purchased by a private equity company, peets coffee and tea is not the as the original owner. The half and half creamer is not pure. If you asked one of the employee's at the counter, just asked them to see the half and half creamer ingredients to see how natural it is. Please use regular Milk for coffee.
Peet's over Starbucks any time. But we can all agree that either of these is better than Dunkin, McDonald's, Tim Horton's, Folgers, Maxwell House, etc.

Any Starbucks fan should be a peets fan. I do love Starbucks coffee and am a huge fan but peets most certainly has them beat Starbucks has always loved and appreciated Peet's coffees and has tried to replicate their superior quality plus one of the Starbucks Founders is now one of the CEOs at Peet's Coffee I view them as one in the same Starbucks is just the Lesser version of a premium coffee also my favorite coffee is so far from eats is the simadre but I'm sure it would be the special Wednesday roast if I ever had it and my favorite Starbucks blind would be the Komodo dragon Asian Pacific blend bold earthy with spicy notes
The founder that is now a CEO at Peets originated at Peets and that’s where he learned about roasting coffee and what not but left to make Starbucks but came back to peefs
I went to work up in Sacramento and in their airport was a Peet's. I had enough Starbucks all week since I service them for work and freebies happen everyday. I gave Peet's a shot. I'm a big coffee guy so believe me I was excited to be at a Peet's shop. There is none in my state, just like no Tim Horton's. We are riddled with Starbucks, Dutch Bros and a lot of locally owned shops. Anyways, the line was long and I still had a long wait before my flight. I ordered the seasonal iced maple latte and a breakfast wrap at the restaurant next door.
My goodness, I have never came close to ever making a cup as good as the maple latte at home. The first sip was as I had falling onto a maple paradise, with their coffee perfectly balancing the sweetness. It was chilled very well for the hot day. I took 15 to 20 minutes to drink it, as I knew it would be my last time having Peet's before I ever stepped into another state. Needless to say, I can STILL taste that latte as I type this. 🥰

I'll take Peets Major Dickason's Blend with Starbucks Sumatra as a close second. With the only coffee (I don't think it is coffee) is anything from Dunkin Donut it's a beverage which is disgusting. They put the Do-not in doughnut.
I Agree I have drank both Dark Roasts and the Peete's is actually Better in taste and quality, but the one that really tops them both is Davidoff Coffee, from Germany, their Dark Roast is the best if you can find it.
Peets will do it on a French Press if you ask...that is sooo good that way!
Starbucks i call charbucks they burn beans ,i can taste it. Never tryed peets yet.

Starbucks regular coffee tastes so bitter and strong. It takes away the enjoyment of the coffee experience
@@phazebeast7373 peets strong to i like 1 tablespoon every 8 oz . A peets k cup is 2 tablespoon so each pod i like 16 oz or more water.

Starbuck's Pike Place is a bitter cup of coffee. I don't understand how Starbucks claims it is their flagship coffee. I personalty hate Pikes.
People who claim they like Starbucks can't even drink Starbuck coffee without an exorbitant amount of milk, sugar and syrup nor, as pretentious as it may sound, do they actually care about the taste of coffee. Just looking for the caffeine and sugar which is why Starbucks is more popular to general population and more successful.
A majority of people put dairy and/or sweetener in their coffee, regardless of where they get it from. Most of the time, I drink mine black, and that includes Starbucks' coffee.
Peet's is the everyday coffee I make at home and Starbucks is my holIday coffee I only get for the dessert flavor blends. Honestly I love Peet's just a little more.
Once upon a time Peet’s was the finest coffee available(1970-early 1990). Starbucks had NEVER claimed to have good or better coffee. It’s true.
Peet’s has merged to imitate the success of Starbucks. I was loyal to Peet’s for decades but no longer. Their quality is nothing of what it used to be, luckily there is still good coffee. My preferred brand is Peerless. If anyone recognize the disappointing quality in Peet’s and has an idea of roasters who make anything close to the old school Peet’s let me know. I don’t drink light roast.

Yeah, 👍 I’ll gladly drink Starbucks, especially Pike Place, but I’ll taste & order the whole catalogue from Peet’s! Frankly, they’re all good on some days! I got started with these AT Pike Place, so memories come with a good cuppa jo! 😋
I've never had Pete's, but Starbucks is pretty bad.
You just excluded yourself from the conversation. Very few would say starbucks is bad.
I've managed coffee bars with both companies. Peets to me is better than Starbucks. In fact, when I order lattes at Starbucks, it tastes watered down. As far as coffee goes, generally Pete's has more of a kick to it in terms of taste overall. Starbucks is good if you are just getting into coffee.
Philz coffee is the best. If you haven’t had Philz coffee yet I recommend checking it out.

Starbucks is like eating at Burger King or McDonald's crappy I bet people that get Starbucks probably gets get K-Cups bottom-of-the-barrel stay away from additives support your stores
