- After weakening the Hammerheads in our last sortie, the next step is to take out their base of operations.
A good tactic is to hit the radar first - that way all the AAA on the base should be useless. The trick is to get to the target in the first place, loaded with all the ground ordnance. I'm sure there are several patrols in the air defending that base.
Another tip - if you're taking unguided rockets with you, make sure you don't fire all of them during the mission - if any are left after the mission, the rocket pod will be replensihed free of charge and not deducted from your weapon stock.
Also you can take out runways with MK-82s if you're not packing the Durandals - to take out the runway normally you would need 4 direct Durandal hits, but you can take one out with 8 MK-82s.

I bought SC because I was a fan of WC 1 & 2. While I enjoyed the game, it always felt like I was flying in fog. If definitely had WC vibes. 😀

@@TestTest-lu8vi that's the dilemma of mercenary squadron - if you jettison AG to dogfight you already lost the mission and will not get paid. You need to dogfight handicapped if you want to succeed.
