    This is an overall fresh overview of the city of Abidjan with my friend. As Cameroonians, we truly enjoyed the city of Abidjan and this fresh perspective will give you a good initial impression of what to expect when you arrive in this beautiful country for the first time.

      Why do you always compare Ivory Coast with Cameroun....While you were in Ghana you didn't make such a comparision

    • @IvainTures
      @IvainTures  Год назад +6

      @@hervediedie we are both former French colonies. We are much more similar than with English speaking African countries. In addition, when it comes to culture and sports, Cameroon and Ivory Coast are bigger competitors. Many Cameroonians also live in Ivory Coast. It’s a much higher number than in Ghana.
      What’s going on between Cameron and Ivory Coast is the same thing going on between Ghana and Nigeria. That’s why it comes up. Ignoring that fact is hiding a friendly cultural tension going on between both countries.

      @@IvainTures Camerounians have much more to do with their nearest neighbors such as gabonese nigerians.. for example bamileke and igbo are the same .. haussa people live in both countries and so on...but you always need this comparision between Ivory Coast and Cameroun...I'm still wondering why..Cameroon also has some english speaking regions

    • @IvainTures
      @IvainTures  Год назад +5

      @@hervediedie that’s your opinion and being from Cameroon I disagree. I’m quite aware that Cameroon has an English portion. As I
      Mentioned previously both countries have a lot
      More in common culturally. It’s ok if you disagree bro.
      It’s a hot topic and i choose to address it that’s all.

      @@IvainTures Ivory Coast is not only Abidjan...Abidjan is actually a melting pot that's why you have this feeling...The eastern southern and the central parts of Ivory Coast are culturally close to Ghana...they are all akan people. But the nothern part is close To Mali and Burkina Faso....while the Western part is close To Liberia and Guinea...for your information....

    Coffee isn't made from cocoa though? I didn't understand the connection when you said IV is the premier producer of cocoa therefore you have to try their coffee?? Cos coffee is made from a coffee bean which Ethiopia for example is a world class producer of, even though many West African countries also produce coffee on a smaller scale

    • @abdoultoure2474
      @abdoultoure2474 Год назад

      Ivory Coast is the 13th largest producer of coffee in the world. In the 2000s, it used to be 5th. However, the government has reduced how much coffee it produces and diversified the economy. Most farmers also switched from coffee to Cashew as they made money that way. Ethiopia, on the other hand, is currently the 5th largest producer and mainly produces Arabica. Ivory Coast, on the other hand, has mainly Robusta, used for espresso and Nescafe. While Arabica is most served in coffee shops due to its flavor profile.

    • @tvs9978

    • @abdoultoure2474
      @abdoultoure2474 Год назад

      @@tvs9978 Well, everybody knows this. He even knows this. However, In the ivory coast, we have a particular way of drinking coffee, mixing cocoa powder with our robusta to make it more pungent and bitter. So the chocolate gives a very distinctive flavor profile to the coffee. That's what he is referring to here. And my point was also that in Ivory Coast, we have both Cocoa and coffee in large quantities.

    • @tvs9978

      My point is not moot. You said a small amount. We do not produce in a "small amount" 10 years ago our production was toe to toe with Ethiopia. I am simply trying to clarify the point of the guy in the video since Ivory coast is my country. I not trying to get into a back and forth really. If you don't wanna learn then don't but at least you know what the accurate information are and why they are the way they are, Have a blessed day.@@tvs9978

    Ivan you made a confusing connection. It seems you were having coffee but mentioned that Ivory Coast is the biggest exporter of cocoa beans in the world which is true but that makes chocolate not coffee.
    Coffee beans are what make coffee and everyone knows Ethiopia is the biggest exporter of coffee in Africa not Ivory Coast. When people think pf coffee they think of Ethiopia and for chocolate they think Ivory Coast and Ghana. Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying.

    Bravo pour ce beau travail. Je ne sais vraiment pas pourquoi les gens t'empêchent de filmer quand bien même que la loi ivoirienne t'autorise à filmer les rue,mais pas des individus sans leur consentement. Savent ils la promotion que tu leur fais en filmant leurs enseignes?
    Je me demande. Cest complètement aberrant.
    Encore merci de montrer au monde entier l'Afrique qu'ils ignorent, car le reste du monde ne connaît que le côté misérable de l'Afrique qu'on te laissera d'ailleurs filmer . Ça n'a vraiment pas de sens. Les occidentaux nous renvoient les belles images de chez eux , une des raisons qui pousse notre jeunesse à prendre la méditerranée.

      @@IvainTuresVraiment dommage. En fait il existe pas mal d'idées reçues sur les prises de vues en Afrique. Certains se disent que ce sont des cambrioleurs qui viennent filmer leur boutique pour revenir le soir les cambrioler , comme on le voit dans les films et autres. Vous les youtubeurs africains devez beaucoup communiquer aupres de la population sur ce travail revolutionnaire et d'une haute portée touristique que vous faites afin de valoriser ce métier qui n'est pas encore vulgarisé en Afrique. Les populations doivent savoir combien de fois vous êtes importants et vous contribuez au développement du continent. Vive notre Afrique.
