People create a lot of hype over coaching centres but when it comes to CAT, you don't really need it. All you need is a bit of practice and there is plenty of free materials to go around. Definitely something that must reach people who see MBA as something only for those with means. Definitely not the case
MBA is an expensive affair when it comes to the Fee Structure, but considering that banks do offer loans, Ppl with lesser privilege can also aspire. Even after working for a few years and saving money one can take the course. Throwing light on these aspects is the intent of the video.
@@balaganesh6473 agreed. MBA is expensive. Preparing for it need not be that way. The notion of only a coaching centre can get you into an MBA is wrong. That is just marketing

Its a Niche stream to specialize. Any reason why you are specifically inclined to this stream ?
Specializing in Operations will usually cover this as well. However iims do have have electives and research specific to this stream. Try to connect with existing recent passout in respective field from larger companies to get an idea

Amazon, DHL, Asian paints etc

These types of companies are the leaders in the stream.
LinkedIn research will help you figure where they recruit from. Further interacting with few recent passouts in the specific stream will give better clarity on future growth prospects in the industry.

Great video! hats off for the effort. But one ques: I have 6 years of exp in IT. Is it good to do a General MBA or Executive MBA? Also, are online MBA's worth pursuing?
1) IT is a wide field, what level/ designation you are in, I am not sure. If you already in a role taking more than 10LPA will advise not to do regular MBA in any college less than IIM/XLRI/FMS or equivalent
2) Executive MBA full time is a good option, again consider best institutions if you are already in high pay bracket, if not then some place like greatlakes (full time though) also helps .
3) online/distance degree is worth only as a degree/ certification. It will be useful if your organization has policies for promotion and MBA is being done only for that

Good to know of the never give up attitude ma. There is no educational qualification needed to do business. However if you are interested doing some professional course before you venture into business, MBA in a good college will help give you an over all understanding of various business functions like finance, marketing, hr etc.

They do for experienced professionals, worth of it is extremely subjective a person.

Age is not a bar you can do till 30 (atleast) for executive courses till 35+ too.
Tancet hardly covers good colleges. If doing for passion do in college. Write cat xat etc

now am preparing for cat through online (unacademy).. but i dont find it efficient becuz am mastered only in english and tamil, but in the particular coaching the label is given as english but they completely teach in hindi..i could do nothing out of that..so pls tell abishek brother to start an youtube channel or else telll him to take any coaching classes.. and in south india most of the prople are unaware about cat exam..so pls mr.balaganesh anna think about this and refer this comment to him.. am totally helpless regarding cat.. also a very big thank u for this wonderful video
Hi Krithi, I will certainly pass over this message to Abhishek and recommend him to try something on this lines if he finds time. However Coaching is a huge effort, more effort than preparing for oneself in my opinion, given that both of us (Myself and Abhishek) are in different full time professions not sure how feasible it will be to start coaching, I am speaking for myself here. Having said that there are certain self preparation tips that were discussed in the video, do try those. This initiative itself was with a service motive, to give the basic exposure of various career streams since I have friends from numerous streams, I am glad it was helpful for you. For all good colleges fees will be high only ma. In chennai LIBA, IFMR Grate lakes are good colleges but they charge high fee too. If finance is an issue I will suggest work for few years, save money and try taking the course. If possible you can try loan too.
Of all top colleges FMS has a low fee structure its in delhi you can explore it

When I prepared for CAT, T.I.M.E used to be the best, do explore if its still the case and decide. I Honestly am not sure what is best for IPMAT, considering you are having a spefic focus am sure you will figure it. Do share it here for everyone else's reference and use :)

There are multiple general management roles. If you are clear of doing MBA you ll ve time to explore stream and enough time to get exposure of each of the steam while at MBA
Generally specialization happens only after 1year so you have a full years of course under peers and faculty guidance to decide

Yes, it is possible, there are various factors that influence including your cut off and what diversity you would bring in to the batch. But I did know people who had got calls with such scores in school and college. Top IIMs could be bit more difficult.

Hi, there is no hard and fast age rule. However considering your age and number of years of experience I would suggest, explore executive mba in full time.

For full time MBA, from the time you start prep to finishing your course, u ll be 34 most probably, you ll be one of the oldest person of your batch. These days companies try to keep the average age of the organization low. That way placements can be difficult ( again i dont know, of the type of role you are in right now, if its already managerial, then may be it could be a different scenario)

Aim for colleges which are good in HR like XLRI, TISS etc. You will still be eligible as long as you clear entrance exam, group discussions and personal interviews

Ppl write GATE for IITs and Govt jobs,
Some go abroad for MS
Some write bank exam
Some Civil services
Some MBA
Some law
And many more such options are there
To give you context sundar pitchai is a metallurgical engineer and
Chetan Bhagat is mechanical engineer. What you study in undergrad should not decide whats best for you, you should.

If you want low fee I understand that you may have financial constraint. If that is the case. All the more dont waste money in joining a college for the present score. Take more attempt if possible.
Doing something for the sake of doing will only waste two years of life +fees money + money you could ve earned (opportunity cost) if you went to job instead of joining a below avg college.
