One of my co-workers has a base model and it looks pretty sharp standing next to it. Good to see a 6 spd manual!!! Just wish it was available as a 2 door...
I had one too, a Sunfire. It might not have been perfect but I was surprised it held up the whole time I had it. I would buy just about any late model Poncho over this.
I curently own a 1992 Lexus SC 400 that I purchased ...20 years ago...I want a new car and I really like this buick. The Lexu has really been a great car...I only hope the Buick will also be a great car....I'M THINKING..

Usually cars running 15.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile are hitting 60 mph in about 7.2 seconds, not 6.2 Cars doing 0-60 in 6.2 are usually running between 14.6-14.8 in the 1/4 mile. It's almost like you lost traction halfway down the 1/4 mile strip or missed a gear lol.
Clearly. The XTS in its current state is seemingly exorbitant money for a well-disguised Buick. Caddy deserves better than having to share another platform with a brand that has little relevance among younger buyers.
Agreed. If Caddy was more serious about taking on BMW like they say they are they would have went with the G8 platform. I'm down with the ambition but they can't say they want to be taken as seriously as BMW and Mercedes and then have a FWD re-badged Buick as their "flagship" vehicle. To me a brand is only as strong as their weakest model. That's why BMW is considered world class. There's not a single disappointment in their lineup.
At one point they were. Now, the competiton is only getting closer. BMW is getting away from what made them what they are in the first place because they're trying to be too many things to too many people. Electric power steering is their trying to impress people with their EPA ratings but that sacrifices the near-telepathic steering feel which set their cars apart from their competitors.
THe operative word here is WAS. Pontiac is dead. And the reliability was notihng to write home about. I had a Pontiac and I loved it. But that was more than 2 decades ago. Watch the availability of Pontiac parts go down and the price of them go up over time.
Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame. The Pontiac G8 GT was less expensive and more fun and it was RWD. This car will impress people who have never driven a car before.

I'd Love to have this car!

Gear ratios, boost tuning, air flow characteristics, all things that can effect this. Most likely gear ratio.
Why would they compare this to a Camry! This Buick is so much sportier!
I'm not the one who clicked dislike just so you know. I love this Regal GS... I just thought the 1/4 mile time was odd with that 6.2 0-60 is all.
Chris'sVids79 Ran my stock 2013 GS Auto Trans a couple months ago at N.E. Dragway and ran 14.8 @ 95 mph twice, back to back runs in 90+ degree temps.
Don't even get me started on BMW. There's rumors of a FWD 1 series or something like that in the works.

good review

The Caddy XTS should have been based on that G8 GT imo.
It is opel insignia whit buicks badge.
Why are you comparing this with a Camry? Two completely different target markets!
This is a german Opel Inisigina 2.8T AWD 325hp.
The driver forgot to press the GS button during testing. If he/she did, the cars lateral G reading would have been higher.
4 cylinders? it looks great it needs a v12 :D

Nice car
those wheels--they look like something from a bordello
I must say those performance numbers seem dismal considering the power output. 15.4@94mph, that's it?!?!
C70drvr its heavy
Stock tune SUCKS
Maybe not everyone wants a gas guzzling RWD sedan, especially if they want to save on gas and drive in a region with lots of snow/rain.
Well, i speak of behalf of those who do, however few there are.
