Man you are the first person who actually showed a midi controller that works with this amp. Everything you see is using some form of Helix device. I sold my big Behringer midi board and I am looking for something comparable…any suggestions besides the Airstep. I spoke with the Line 6 guys and they had no suggestions what so ever. I had the two button switch which didn’t do much. Any info you could give would be much appreciated. Great playing by the way!👍😎
Thanks for the info/video, very nicely done. I have the CATALYST 60 and use just as you as you recommended, in the studio run thru my PC. Very versatile little amp for size and money..
I have all 12 preset locations set. Doing deeper adjustments on the amp is challenging without the app. I use my Catalyst 100 with my HX-FX in 4CM mode with MIDI to change amp presets and turn the amp boost on/off. It's a versatile rig that covers a lot of ground for me, mostly jazz, prog and fusion, not rock (I have a Marshall tube combo for that), and I don't play metal anymore. The only control I need to use on the Catalyst is the master volume; all of my HX-FX patches have an EQ, if I have to make tonal adjustments, much easier to do on the HX-FX. The DI out works fine, and can be tweaked as needed at the board. It's a compact rig that can work in many situations. Catalyst, folding amp stand, pedalboard in a hardcase, backpack with cables and accessories; 2 guitars.
I just got a katana, i run my pod in its loop so i kinda have the best (affordable) of both worlds 🤘🏽. I was debating between the 2 and went with the BOSS to get some new (to me) flavors. Variety is the spice of tone!
I sold boss katana artist and bought catalyst 100 to replace. I agree with this. I think for low and mid gain stuff, catalyst sounds and feels better. For high gain and for more fx options, katana is better. I play blues and classic rock, so the catalyst made more sense to me. Love the botique channel. I pretty much stay on that and use the boost for solos.

Thank you for the video, just what I was looking for an actual review testing all the features, not just sound
Glad it was helpful!

Great video, extremely informative 🎸🙏 Thank you
Thoughts on the Catalyst 60 for a home practice and recording amp?
So my band just got off the ground all I got is a practice app will this be good as a live amp like at brewery’s and small venues
Galing, bruv!

I don’t have a Katana but basing off memory Katana is more flexible with efx but the Line 6 drives feel chewier under the fingers
