Hey Bug. It’s always a great feeling to get another engine built and ready to go. - Do you have a vid covering the difference between the number of ports an engine can have? It may make for an informative video (if you haven’t done so already). - You could share how the different designs/geometry of the ports and quantity of ports can affect performance etc. Just a thought. As always, Thx for content 🔥💪🏻
@@thebug4046 I have watch a bunch but of course not all. You have a lot of good vids. I haven’t come across that exact topic yet. That means I’ll just have to watch more 😜. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Bro those mach 2 .21 and mach .26 are almost NR tight when new. I would use a starter box until you get a quart through if if that is an option. I broke a few pull ropes breaking in a XTM .247. I bought a used starter box just so I could start it easier when I got a new P/S/R. It had 3 P/S/R go through that thing. I loved it. Also got about 6 1/2 gallons on each new P/S/R. Dont listen to the uninformed these things will last a long time. The XTM is the older SH block. The Mach and mach2 are a gen newer. They both rock tho.
Funny you say that, I had my Dynamite .28 at the track and one of the nitro guys there couldn't believe that the engine actually ran with how tight it was, he was freaking out about the mechanical binding!
I didn’t know that about the heads either I was like like fuck, sure enough low and behold I go look at my head and it’s directional, learn something new every day

@@David-069 Yeah there must have been 2 different options available because when I got this engine it was originally just a 3 port as well I wasn't even aware they came with a 6
I made a carb cleaner video not long ago and back the pinch bolt all the way out warm the engine block with a heat gun and pull and twist should come out. And thanks for watchin!
If you dont have access to a heat gun you could try a hairdryer. Could also put it in the oven but if you go that route keep the oven temp 200 or under and dont let it sit in there longer than 5 min at a time. Bug is right on point a lil heat will expand the block and let you wiggle the carb out.
Nice stuff! Do you know if the M26 is the same as the Mach 427? Also you breifly mention at the end that the .28 Big Red is the same engine block as the M26, does that mean you can swap a .28 Big Red piston and sleeve into an M26? Thanks!
Hey yes the m26 and mach 426 are the same engine the 28 block design is the same but the bore to put the sleeve in is bigger so the 26 piston and sleeve won't work. But basically everything off the big red will fit on the 26 like pull starter stuff carb crank cooling head
So when your done rebuilding that .26 and it's all clean n shiny and has new parts your gonna send it to me so I can break it in and rip it in my Hyper7 right? I'll get it all worn out for ya. I mean worn in lol
I bet this mach.26 runs that LRP.32x down. These Mach .26 are no joke. They have ALOT of torque and rev like a good .21. I had an XTM .247 first then replaced it with Mach .26 and it was insane fast in my heavy ass Hyper7. It would be brutal in a newer buggy with lighter drive train.
@@daveshank1921 I used to own a mach 26. It was a good engine but not enough power to pull off wheelies from my savage. The LRP .32 has more kick in it.
@@hpiedsavageed7608 Yes the LRP has a bit more torque and overall power. I had a Savage SS with a .26 in it and it would wheelie on demand. Might have been clutch was different or diff oils.
