-Jiyan and his weapon banner are not getting shortened, it'll stay the same. It'll be just 1.1 and yinlin coming a week early
-to compensate, they will be giving 10 event pulls,5 event weapon pulls, 10,000 battle pass exp, 20 energy refillers, 1,000,000 shell credit along with more fixes on player feedback and more rewards from upcoming events

And I tried spend all into echos but my exp mats went out before my credits do. Did you do alot tacet field for echo exp? Feel kind not worth my waveplates for now >.
They've moved up the timeline as ZZZ announced there release on the same day as Wuthering Waves patch 1.1. So to differ they've moved up the timeline, they changed when Yinlin becomes available, as well other content plus free rewards. Essentially allowing ZZZ a spot to openly compete. (Best analogy I can come up with is competing Blockbuster movies in theaters). And with everything else going on, I find it interesting. Build all the ships, don't burn all the ships, when the fleet is half burning already.

Tbh that makes much more sense knowing KURO, but now that results in yinlin’s release coming right after genshin’s 4.7 so they could’ve shot themselves on the foot by trying to give zzz some air

Yep, i fell like, as many people are saying, one of the biggest factors behind that decision is the fact that ZZZ release and the original wuwa 1.1 release would be on the same day (July 4). So to avoid overlap, they decided to move up the patch by a week. They probably thought that a new game(and made by hoyo, no less) would steal the spotlight from them. This is the reason I believe the most.
People are saying about it being kuro's desperate reponse to disappointing revenue, but I fell like that's just doomposting at best.
Well, no matter where you look, it's doomposting everywhere. Before, Kuro did move a patch in PGR, the Frozen Darkness patch, regardless of the their reschedule, would still play the game and spent on it. couldn't care much on the community. as long as they fix things, and make it more fun. that's all I care.
If they allow their development cycle to constantly be dictated by other games or updates releasing they won't get anything done properly. Wuwa's release suffered because it was rushed - now they're rushing the patch another time while crunching continuously. People are right to be concerned about this.
@@tite93 That's true but also ask yourself this: do you think Kuro can afford not doing something at this point? Because if WuWa fails, it might drag them under completely. And even if it doesn't fail, becoming just another mediocre gacha because it couldn't secure enough of a playerbase to develop further would be a pretty bad outcome as well.
They didn't say that they'd be cutting the patch release schedule in half, they're just releasing the 1.1 update a week earlier to appease players and it's honestly good optics for them. It might encourage people to stick around which is ultimately their goal.
Honestly, being concerned about this is going to hurt them far more as you can't do anything for them, unless you have a few hundred million laying around that you can throw their way. Concern can turn into FUD and that's not a good sign. FUD is capable of killing the game's momentum in its tracks which will murder its long-term prospects.
ZZZ is a completely different type of game though. Meanwhile in that time-period they're direct open world competition will have Furina + Sigewinne. Probably still Firefly. And the big summer event that always generates spending.

10 limited banner pulls
5 limited weapon pulls
20 Crystal Solvents (60 Waveplates each) + A waveplate storage system (similar to HSR)
Boosted Echo EXP drops
An event containing 800 Astrites, 2 Morphable Elite Class Echoes, 1 Premium Tuner, and 1 Premium Sealed Tube
And One Million Shell Credits

This is bad thing. Devs of Kuro are already overworked to death. Now they have to work even more. Plus they already did this kind of mistake by rushing the release and look where it got them. With so much freebies people will just probably reroll to get Yinlin anyway because we are not too far in the game yet. The should have delayed not Shortened the time before next patch.
You could say it’s because of their bad revenue(24 mil in a week is bad because even Tof did 34 mil in the same span of time, Nikke did 80 and Star rail did 40 which is interesting because a lot of people inculding hoyo fanboys doom posted it) or ZZZ overlapping with WuWa and Firefly + Cloronde+Furina combo. Right now WuWa is not feeling good they really need to get their shit together
By design, WuWe is more encouraging to f2p. People can get by through skill, so no one is in a rush to pull characters. Also, I have less time to grind pulls for Yinlin then. Definitely not a hype thing. More events is good for us though
They should start making character skins like PGR
The low revenue is probably because of phone related bugs and performance issues, and phones are very popular in China. But I think that is not a huge issue, they need to fix those issues and entice those mobile players to give another try with the game. They are on their market acquisition phase and don't need to make money right away, this is supposed to be a long term project, not a quick cash grab after all. So I don't think their decisions are based on the revenue at all, it is just an attempt to retain more players before they uninstall and install ZZZ instead.
wasn't it stated that the 24 mil revenue was only mobile only? iirc the total revenue was actually around 50 mil

It's probably because of the release of zenless zone zero, considering how the update for 1.1 wuthering waves is the same day zenless releases.
I guess not because some players in china used date and time like back in the 2010 in Wuthering wave in their account and open yinlin banner sooner and that video got spread in some apps like TapTap or some others . It is not like they hacked the game but just change the sever date so I don’t know if they banned them or not but I guess that is the reason why they release the banner sooner because most player think that is unfair or some others like that I guess

Wtf is Kuro thinking. The Hoyo vs Kuro drama aside because it's pointless and petty generated by toxic CCs, some of the criticisms and issues they've had this whole time are valid points of concern.
If it's because of ZZZ release date they need to not worry about Hoyo or other companies schedules. They need to be confident in their product and carve their own identity.
If it's about revenue. Yinlin isn't going to fix that issue. Especially not if they keep being overly generous with their compensations.

Could not agree more honestly. I really don't like the precedent they've been setting with just being comfortable with changing things up on the fly seemingly to respond to everything from player feedback to what other devs are doing with their schedules. Just keep in game event time tables consistent and to what players are expecting, especially limited character banners. QoL stuff is fine to just patch on the fly though obviously.

This whole thing sounds like a huge bad idea. Rushing a patch out is exactly what lead to the current problems
Main concern would be the condition of the devs, they must be overworked so much by now, this announcement just gonna dig their own grave even deeper
they dont have a choice man,. take zzz head on on july 4th with your 1.1 dry patch or take GI which is old and with Clorinde+Furina banner + deins quest + New game mode. they had to choose and they choose GI. so yinlin vs Clorinde+Furina it is.

For those worried:
1. Both banners will be available for a while, changing nothing in the typical 3 weeks duration of banners
2. We are getting 10 limited pulls + 800 Astrites (from extra event) as compensation, everyone's chances of pulling Jiyan/Yinlin in this shorter version have only gone up
3. Yes, I also believe that ZZZ launching on previous wuwa v1.1 day had a hand in this change as well

bro, after this update even r/gachagaming have stopped dunking on the game. people are starting to get really worried with the amount of crunch their devs are going through.
Honestly, Kuro is in a tough spot since players consumed the content for 1.0 too fast as well. We're just past 1 week after release and almost everyone is done woth map exploration, done with main story content and is now on the repeating echo grind. Hardcore players will feel good since they have new things to do(for a short while) while for casuals who don't play too long might feel they need to catch up. Just my opinion.

Looks more like avoiding direct competition as best they can when there's no real great options anymore anyway. That's why I keep saying just keep a bloody consistent schedule and stop changing things around on the fly mid patch like this.
@@HardymanK Well when Kuro initially set this timeline they likely did not know when Zenless would release and that both Genshin and Star Rail would put up MAJOR banners in the timeframe of Yinlin's release. You can either let your base get eaten or shift your plans.

They also mentioned about the past bugs and issues in the JP. New engaging events, coming in a few days. Plus they also mentioned a lot of adjustments from echo farming. The echo double event i look forward to it on 1.1.
Well, I think they made a big brain move with changing the date of 1.1 a month earlier because of ZZZ release. Or else we will have huge war between Kurogames and Hoyoverse during every patch update of this two games.

I've seen people speculate that they moved up 1.1's schedule so that it doesn't overlap with ZZZ's release date. Great to see the debs listening, but I also hope they're not being overworked. I was fully expecting them to extend 1.0 so that they have more time to iron out the bugs are sort stuff out behind the scenes, and I would be okay with that. Instead, they advanced their schedule.

Well there is overlap here. Jiyan's banner will not end early, so there will be about a week where he's overlapped with Yinlin's banner
as 10days left for jiyan that's a 900 + 600 pulls for me.. i am happy that yinlin will be up sooner which is im gonna pull for her but sad at a same time coz that's 1500 astrite, almost a 10 extra pulls.
Honestly kinda like this decision since the current state of the game is just players waiting to get lvl40. Also all the bug fixes will be in 1.1 as well. Rather than having to update your game for small patches almost everyday.

I also realised, after reading other comments on this video, that ZZZ is coming on July 4th and 1.1 was supposed to be released on the same day (but I'm guessing it will be released earlier now), that could be one of the huge reasons why we will get her earlier. I'm tired because of the summer heat and I wasn't thinking about it.

The moving up, it's likely due to major banners in Genshin and Star Rail coming up and Zenless Zone Zero's scheduled release. Keeping 1.1 where it was would put it at the same time as Zenless' release and then they'd always update on a very similar timeline. Shifting now creates some buffer. And with Firefly releasing June 18 and Furina's rerun being June 25, Kuro likely wanted to get Yinlin a bit further in front of them before people blow all their savings there.

Why do I have the feeling that Yinlin's sales is gonna be the same as Kafka's in HSR, super popular character but low sales when she was released
Unlike kafka, yinlin doesnt have any revelency at the main story whatsoever. Yinlin banner gonna be much worse.
Until the character story comes out everything about people's interest in this character is strictly based around aesthetics and being the first "hot chick" limited banner really. There's no particular reason to care particularly much about this character yet other than that cause she hasn't really played a part in the story.
Like IMO it's just hype for the sake of hype right now with Yinlin, but hopefully her character quest is at least more involving and dynamic and changes that. This game seems to have trouble with storytelling though so I'm not particularly holding my breath on that atm.

They needed to. They dont want to release 1.1 with ZZZ on same date, they need sales. hard for kuro this month man, Genshin Deinslief patch with clorinde, HSR with firefly jade, ZZZ on july 4th. and they keep messing things.
All of this could be avoided if they released the game in October, as was originally planned.
I played this game for 5-6 days and got 35 union level 18 data bank, not finished all abyss thing content but wished 70 on jiyan 60 on wep but didn’t got any and im saving for yinlin. Well i did wish 10 on standart too so it makes 140 while you need 160 to get jiyan for worst senario.
In other words in 10 days if ya want really jiyan you can get him easily even you have worst luck. I nuw ofc rushing is not comfortable but like i said if ya want him you could have it literally just playing game. Im happy for yinlin coming early
i fucked up the 1.2m shell credits they gave away from the recovery/food shop. 1 of those food has no limit while the others where just limited to 5 so i just maxed them out of habit.

They already said something about releasing Yinlin story sooner a while ago, so I guess they always had this idea, Don`t know why they are bringing the update faster tho, Maybe they don`t want to clash with release of ZZZ, since while that game doesn`t have anything worth the hype, it still has the budget of hoyo and will attract lots of attention in their first few months. All I hope for is for devs to not be pushed too hard and get more WuWa content.(Now I can`t wait to see 1.1 Livestream, since we are going to fight something BIG)
I really think yinlin coming out early would be fine, if her banner still went until the time it was supposed to, from 12th -> 3rd to 5th -> 3rd
you dont lose any saving time, you get to pull early, but it would mess up the 1.1 update on the 26th, personally i prefer banners that go month to month since i get paid the last day of a month, so its easier to justify spending early in the month,
I'd be interesting if they tried doing 2 limited banners this early but with lagging rotations so that only 1 banner is replaced at any given update. Just a thought.

Just like in the game, they're trying to dodge ZZZ with the early banner.
Both banners will run concurrently, so no fear for the Jiyan seekers.
