Hey folks! Three questions:
1. Which of these two cocktails sounds best to you?
2. Have you had Bajan rum?
3. What’s your favorite rum making country?
King of Barbados seems intersting to me, but I'm sure my wife would want something to use with her Velvet Falernum. We recently purchased Plantation, which is I think from Barbados and Jamaica? It was good, but we only bought it because all of the cool kids were drinking it... Peer pressure... Rum was my first alcohol love and loved the Rum in Jamaica. Have a few bottles stored away so that friends wouldn't drink it all at our house. Now when I'm working from home, all of my co-workers can see my hidden jamaica rum spot from my webcam...
1. The King one because I love Calvados
2. I don't think I have, but Cam would know best LOL. I just drink what he serves me which is AOK
3. I honestly don't know. That would be a cool taste test experience, just all the different rums?

I don't think I've had enough rums to say definitively, but I have liked a couple of Jamaican rums
1. the King because I'm always looking for things to do with calvados. 2 no. 3. Jamaica
I love all spice dram! Both look great, but that first one sounds right up my alley!

Allspice AND Falernum! These are my kind of cocktails! ...I gotta pick up that rum, it's available here but I've never tried it

I like the sound of both of these! I like the simplicity of the Barbados and the fact that it's pretty much a daiquiri with falernum as the sweetener. Plus, I'm usually in the mood for something brighter like that. Great job on both!

So much going on in this vid! These recipes are just what I needed, since I picked up some Eclipse Mount Gay a while back and have been looking for an excuse to use it. Can't wait to try it, esp because I love any cocktail that combines brandy & allspice. Also, I love that the clip you used of Rhianna is her talking about Vodka 😂 so perfect. Wow! Nicely done Vino! We were just eyeing some Bajan rum at the liquor store today. Personally, going with the King... we love just about anything with Calvados. For us, we're only just dipping into rums, so we haven't quite picked a favourite producer yet. Thanks for this Vino!
Rum is such a huge and interesting category. You can spend a life time learning about it. Lol. I’m still learning and I’ve been in this industry for almost two decades.

I would use a little plantation 5 in there. From Barbados! I think both cocktails serve a different purpose even with their similarities! I do have Mt. Gay, but I prefer the 5! Give it a try! Love the rum stuff as you know!
The P5 is definitely a more full body rum, especially since it has added sugar. I find Mt Gay so easy to mix. Both are delicious! Cheers Ann!

I almost grabbed Mount Gay last night, but ended up coming across some bottles of Hamilton (finally), so maybe next time....
I’t’s a great mixing rum. Really balanced and approachable. Always nice to have a Demerara rum in the collection (Hamilton).
