Listening to this, brooding atop the southwestern hills of Oregon. Among the yellow grass and under the lodgepoles, where whooping and knocking of a mythical legend echoes through the holler. The ferns run dense through the thicket, as the high grass through these high hills. Twilight in 2 hours time, the crickets sound their backwoods symphony, amidst the golden sea of grass and sun. The wind rides as gently as the condor over my ridge as I write. All things flow, and so too will the creek once the land of eternal rains harken again it's namesake.
Tbh the second part with John was even more memorable for me because of the travelling around the empty and beautiful landscapes. That's why I started to really appreciate even the little things that happen to me while travelling. I found out about so much simple yet interesting things to do, like fishing or hunting the legendary beasts or just sitting and looking at the dawn. Sometimes I came to a house in the very west of west-elizabeth to look at the lake. I also really enjoyed a quest with the writer that Dutch admired, I read through all his books for like 3 times. They made me think about nature and the way of life I want. I know that this isn't a serious philosophy book but damn. I sometimes dream about going to some remote place to live in my own house by lake now
