Omg, I'm so glad they followed the mood of the novel, it's not overly bright or dull. It's just mellow and soft. Plus, their acting is amazing even the micro expressions are good! Ren Jialun captured the characteristics of modern Zhousheng Chen so much! ❤️
Honestly, I love how realistic the car scenes are-the ackwardness, the silence, and the inner monolouge that shows the distinction between the two characters but in a way, blend really well. Not dramatic, not too light, really touched what happens in reality. Damn. I'm loving this.

I love his openness and honesty. He says it as it is. This is so refreshing in a drama. There is no mincing of words, and of course, thanks must go to the writer.
One and only a beautiful drama of just 24 episodes beautifully covered a tragic romance along with political and National issues whereas the legendary dramas like untamed, princess agents, ashes of love,ten miles of Peach blossoms needed over 50 episodes. It's definitely a praiseworthy drama beacause it showed the intense journey of each and every character precisely ❤

Shiyi is also Introvert it’s just that she needs to be the active one since Chen is extremely introvert like he doesn’t care at all unless he is interested. they both nailed the character portrayal.
I think basing on MBTI personalities, Shiyi is a feeler, and Chen is a thinker. However, they get along well because they are both more of intuition type.
