Getting the tag off my Swasey HMA Mustang | Name reveal!

  • As part of my Mustang Diaries series, I will be removing the tag off of my yearling filly from the Swasey HMA (herd management area). I recently adopted this mustang from the BLM (bureau of land management) at an adoption event in Pennsylvania.

    Aww her poor face. Does your other mustang have the same reaction to flies?
    I love the song. It really was a special moment and you can see that even from the video. I can't wait to see more of this little one

    I can't believe that yearling was passed over at the auction, she looks like she's gonna make one heck of a horse. And she sure seems in love with her new owner..

    With your baby so keen to your smell all be it perfumed or seasonings in your foods, dont change anything till she's trained.

    Very impressed with your handling of these two beautiful horses especially as they hadn’t had human company in their lives. They’re already showing promise to become very good looking horses. I envy you. Good luck with them! 😊

    I have always said and believe that you don't break a mustang to ride, you creat a unbreakable bond that lasts a lifetime and only get stronger with time.

    The first time you got that good head touching, I would have quite for 30 min and left the area, then came and started again, I find this break really draws them in, but you first need the break thru like that good head rubs first. Not saying right or wrong no way is the best just something I do.

      She is so smart!! She is just a project horse, but I may have her for a while to ensure she gets the home she deserves! She’s a pleasure to have 💜

      @@TheProjectEquestrian maybe the next time you might be able to introduce the fly mask if she learned you and the whip is not scary

    One of my friends BLM horses had a bad bug reaction and took longer than she thought to become approachable so the vet recommended incorporating Benadryl into her diet! You may want to ask your vet about some feed through allergy options!

    My mustang is from swasey too!!! and she is also very sweet too ♥️ She’s always been really eager to learn as well. I’m so excited for you !!! I love watching these videos of the first touch and tag removal.
