I've seen Satriani live some 12 years ago or so in Quebec City, Canada on the Plaines D'Abraham, in the opening of Metallica concert it was amaaaazing. I had my camera on me and recorded it for about 1 hour from the public, have to dig it out. Metallica was awesome too, they played for 3 hours non stop. It seemed to me like half an hour. Beautiful memories. Great artists.
Have to agree with you on something. It does look like he's playing on a keyboard. But I think that the amount of delay and the intensity of the wah makes this cover unique and awesome :)
Satriani has tons of mellow songs like this,like ''Crying'',''Starry Night'',''Rubina'' etc. etc. If you like that type of instrumental guitar music,check out Andy Timmons and Nick Johnson.
