What a doll! Mad crush on her when I was a kid and she was well into her 40's. The girl next door. How true that was, who knows? But with that voice and those sweet, sweet looks - I was in love. My first boyhood crush...A lot of good that did me!
yes, june was beautiful and adorable inside and out she was as sweet in real life as she was on screen even her husband dick Powell,he asked her philosophy of life and she said,if you see someone without a smile give them yours,he almost fell out of his chair saying,oh God don't let her change! and that came from a movie star, yes she was probably more than thirty years older than me,b but if she would have had me It would have been a dream come true and I'm a rock n roll musician with Warner Bros for 37 years, also she, without smearing them mentioned a few people she didn't like like Joan Crawford which also tells you something about her tender heart, yes I may be from another generation,a rock musician but a beautiful soul like June crosses all boundaries,i saw her in her eighties and she looked almost the same! I was so glad Robert Osborne mentioned when she played the 12 year supposed to be 22 in reality she was 34 but he said, june looked youthful even in her eighties,so it wasn't my prejudice she was just Beautiful inside and out one of her closest friends ester Williams said, she approached her life with vast enthusiasm.i love her , gonna see her in heaven one day
Now I have to watch Little Women. As much as I love Katherine Hepburn, June's is the overall best. Elizabeth Taylor and Margret O'Brien are too perfect in their roles, I just have to let the age swap between Amy and Beth slide. Such a great cast overall. June was phenomenal, even if I am biased because I'm named after her actress surname.
Haunting melody (cf "silver lining") that runs through my brain continually. Always wondered why KErn's life story had this for its title, but now I know why
I agree! June was wonderful!! She had a contagious smile for sure! Could dance & sing! Super lady! I love Jimmy Stewart & I heard he liked acting with her & even requested her on, I think it was the Glen Miller story, not positive if it was that particular movie. Just a sweet lady, wish I could be like her, that kind of lady. Smiling all the time!
Who the heck thought Ms. Allyson wasn't pretty. She was divine.
Oh but she was pretty, very. I loved her when I was 6 years old. I’m 80 and still tear up thinking of her.
Ms. June Allyson....one of my absolute faves. She's one of the most beloved stars ever!!!
I just ❤️ June Allyson!
Love June!!! Such a sweetheart! :)

June Allyson, you truly are an amazing and talented actress and I love watching you in "Little Women" (1949).
It's funny how they said that she wasn't very pretty but if I can recall Elizabeth Taylor wants said she would love to look like June Allison!!!!

Of course narrated by Marianne Thronberry(Jodi Carlisle). Who sometimes can be seen on Saturday with Alec.
Strategic Air Command. Just one take off and landing Darling. See you soon.
P.S. Way too brief.
I thought she was nice looking and thought she was a good singer, dancer and actress. Most people disagree, like on this tribute.
