ah, yes. The brilliant, the shiny, the wonderful Rachel Pollack...I think it only takes one book to become a fan. For me it's the guidebook to the Raziel Tarot (R M Place, with a book by Rachel) her writing style is intimate, woven, and a wellspring for inspiration. The Raziel deck/book is about the stories/mythos attached to Adam and Eve, Moses, Miriam, the Archangels/Seraphim ...from a very torah/bible/Jewish point of view. It was a fascinating read...one of those books that you slow down at the end because you don't want it to end. omg, so good! She is writing the guidebook for the crystal skull tarot...I am so looking forward to it!
I know, right?! I LOVE Rachel Pollack. Everything you said about her writing style is spot on. I have meant to get one of Place's decks for some time now. . .I knew that RP wrote his books, but now you've got me super curious about the book for Raziel! I've been watching the Crystal Skull tarot as well. . .wasn't feeling called to that one for whatever reason. . .but I'm looking forward to hearing about it and about Rachel's book!

I was clearing out the store room of our office today and spotted a beaten up blue box containing a fully intact Shining Woman deck and book. No idea where it came from but to say I'm thrilled is an understatement.
I purchased a used copy of what I thought was the Shining Tribe deck and book, but it was only the book. Since then, I did get a hold of the deck, but now I have two books. I would be happy to send you my extra copy when C19 settles down, if you would like. And thank you for this video, it has encouraged me to take a deeper look at the deck.

@@SanskritBlue I've had it for several months, but have not used it very much. The Motherpeace deck was the one that I felt compelled to work with, and now, Herbcrafter's has helped me get through the last few months. It's been understandably difficult to pick up my decks lately. Let me know if you would like the book; I was wondering what I was going to do with an extra copy. My bookshelves are prime real estate, and I have no room for duplicates! haha!
