Manikaran Gurudwara | Manikaran Temple Natural Hot Springs Valley | Kasol trip

Manikaran is famous for its hot springs. Manikaran at an altitude of 1,829 mt. and 40 kms from Kullu has the finest hot water springs. Probably the most important and most useful is the one on the river bank at the entrance to the village which is always in great activity and is said to rise and fall with the increase and decline of river water. Rocks surrounding the spring are uncomfortably hot, while the temperature of the water is above boiling point. Rice can be cooked if placed in a muslin bag or tied up in cloth and thrown into the hot water pool. The water of the springs is said to be radioactive. It is supposed to be beneficial to sufferers from rheumatism and similar ailments. Due to Raghunathjee and Gurudawara, Manikaran is a favorite resort of pilgrims for Hindus and Sikhs. According to an ancient legend, Manikaran is also connected with Lord Shiva and his divine consort Parvati.

Kasol is a hamlet in the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Parvati Valley, on the banks of the Parvati River, on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. It is located 30 km from Bhuntar and 36 km from Kullu town, the district headquarter, 3.5 km from Manikaran.

With the existing Atal Tunnel and after the completion of under-construction Shinku La Tunnel, which is targeted to be completed by 2025, the new Leh-Manali Highway via Nimmu-Padum-Darcha road will become all-weather roads.
Solang Valley derives its name from combination of words Solang and Nallah. It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions.

Koksar is one of the villages in Lahaul Mandal in Lahaulspiti District in Himachal Pradesh state in Northern India. Koksar meaning is Alpine, Big, Colossal, Gigantic, Highland, Huge, Mammoth, Tall and Towering. Koksar is about 19 km from Rohtang Pass, and 7 km from North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Here we experienced -6 degrees Celsius mark.
We planned to visit Rohtang Pass to recreate some majestic scenes to Jab We Met, without being known that Rohtang Pass is closed closed in Winter season. We spent our day in Koksar, the extreme coldest day we experienced is here only.
