Thanks for the tutorial! If you still check your tutorial... Settings are not intuitive for me I'm missing: No elevation, just yardage. No "Perfect" displayed after a shot. Can't zoom in when around the green chipping. HUD display does not show green speed or numerical rough range. ~ Thanks ~
Under Display & HUD you can turn "Distance Info Position" to In HUD to always have elevation and distance to pin in the top right, if you have "Swing Timing" off in the difficulty settings, you won't see perfect, fast, or slow and if that's on, you want "Shot Feedback" on in Display & HUD. You want scout camera on in difficulty settings to zoom in anywhere or if you play with scout camera off, you can turn "Approach & Putting Cameras" on in Cameras to get cameras inside of 45 yards. Finally, under Display & HUD, I believe you want "Lie & Club Info" on for the lie range and such. Hopefully that covered everything!
Very informative. I learned a lot. I'm sure the part about loft and spin as applied to distance will help me hit the ball closer to the hole. Thank you and good luck in all your future endeavors.
Great video mate. I play the opposite way lol, I don't use loft and spin to make up distances, I use them to control roll outs mainly. And I hit all partial shots. You mentioned it's easier to hit 100% shots.. Yes it is but when you start to add loft and spin that perfect zone shrinks. Where if you move up a club and hit it at 90% or whatever is required the perfect zone stays the same. Not knocking your style as it's the way 90% of people play. Just don't overlook the partial game is all. I never have a situation where I'm in between clubs.
All the power to you. If it works, it works. I know loft and spin shrinks forgiveness, but partials moves tempo so I prefer the same tempo with less forgiveness than trying to hit a different tempo each time
Great vid man. One thing to note is if you're zoomed in (using scout cam or whatever they call it) before you go into difficulty and turn on pro vision wind, the wind meter will stay on. So you can continue to see mph while you cycle through clubs and move the market around. A little glitch in this game i think
Very informative video and well presented, Any chance you can explain how much uphill, downhill and sidehill lies will affect the shot / club selection?
I don’t have exact numbers and that’s something I’ve been trying to work through recently. The longer the shot, the more the same lie will play for side hill lies, but don’t really affect distance. For uphill and downhill lies, they may only affect a couple of yards unless it’s severe. I would say the best thing to do is play local matches on courses with hilly fairways and toggle only the lie penalty assist under difficulty and cycle through your clubs to see how each plays. Note: pay attention to the lie range in the upper right and factor that in on average to figure it out. This should hopefully give a good gauge of slope to distance gain/loss!
I would think yes. On swing stick, the swing is always the same and the forgiveness is just less, but with 3 click, the timing of the input gets faster with each higher difficulty so probably worth getting used to it
Yo dude! Popped into your twitch stream the other day. I do far more on YT, likes and subscribed. Came here looking for a little help on tips to be more consistent.
Brilliant video, can l ask a biginners question please, l have lost the ability to see the distance of the put on the green when the triangle is pressed on the controller, the one l have now stays at your feet when you press the triangle and you have to decide how far off the hole the put is from a distance, before pressing the triangle took you right up to the hole, can you help me get that back please, l would be extremely grateful.
I believe that would either be that you turned off the scout cam in the difficulty settings or turned on the approach and putting cam in your camera options.
Thank you zcolbster. Though I have been playing since 2K21, I still learned a lot from this video. When playing higher difficulties, like TGC Tours (CC player here), how do you know, using the loft and spin meters, that you have made the proper adjustments?
I find that learning reference points helps and just memorizing or jotting down somewhere what your max loft, max spin, and max loft and spin numbers are. From there you can work backwards if you need to. Becomes more feel in between over time, but knowing your maxes helps that
Since this game doesn't have arcade mode features, all shot shaping and spin is applied pre-shot. If you hold L1/LB and move the right stick down, you will add backspin to your shot or move up to take spin off. Left stick down will add loft (and take off distance) which will make it naturally have a little more spin. Just a note, to actually get the ball to roll back, you'll need a wedge with a flop or pitch shot type or have some slope you're hitting into with a full shot. Happy shaping!
I have the deluxe edition so I know it was an auto install. If you go to the game hub, under add-ons, you should see if you have it purchased there. If you have it purchased and it's not installed, then you probably have reach out to 2K. There's a chance forcing the game to reconnect to the internet could do that whether by disconnecting from the internet or shutting the console off with the game open on the home screen. I say that because I've left the game open and waking it from sleep, it would reconnect and tell me it's installed the bonus items every time.
I know it was free this month, but tried it & complete rubbish. Why they have change the swing gauge. I can't hit a ball correct at all, so I gave up, bring back the older version. They think they improve these games, but they get UNPLAYABLE, like how fifa got with playing 'tricksters' online
@@JapChaeJan 100% agree. It's amazing how many people want a game they can master in 5 minutes, and when they can't, it's the game that's crap and not them.
@Browns4life I think EA’s entry does some things well, more so along the lines of career mode, but 2K is mechanically superior in my opinion which is why I and many others are still playing 2K and not really touching EA
@zcolbster sorry but how can you say that 2k is mechanically superior? it plays like a average mobile game! and has bad commentary, bad graphics, bad features and a ANNOYING course creator.
@brianmiles4092 I mean, none of those things you mentioned are mechanics. 2K input feels better and input dictates outcome. EA having randomness to your shots isn’t fun. Not saying the game is perfect, you have some valid points, but the mechanics are the biggest thing for me

Thanks! And that’s good to know. I always thought it was a little odd that they take the wind meter away when you turn on the help anyways
I'm definitely gonna watch more of your videos. I just found your channel.

This game is such trash! the only tip is to go and the play the new EA pga tour game instead. BOYCOTT 2k golf so hopefully they won’t make anymore 🤞🏻
