"V killed her parents and naturally Doll wasn't a huge fan" this is the dry humour I aspire to have. I love it so much, and what an incredibly insightful analysis, you bring up ideas that are thought-provoking such as the evident metamorphosis of V's character from her apparent emotional defence mechanism, replicating a cold facade, to opening up to and treating N and Uzi both with more consideration (eventually) resulting in her sacrifice for them; viewing them, eventually, as allies in the same boat as her. And you kept my attention with your linear explanation of V's development, something not many can do, lol. Good job well done!
The have some damn good writers man. The thing is, most of the song is distorted in the episode and the only line we hear normally is "please look out for me" before the credits roll and the rest plays
If she comes back as a cyn controlled antigonist I'd want her to just have her memories repressed and eventually in a fight or something she remembers everything again. That would be nice. I don't know where the show is going
⚠Warning⚠:Theory/Debate incoming Eternal Dream is actually a song about Uzi not V and this is what I think the lyrics mean: I am tired of this dream=Uzi being tired of the solver controlling her Will it ever end for me?=Uzi wanting the solver to stop controlling her I don't have the will to know=Uzi wants to know what is wrong but she can't Can you help me see?=Uzi wants help to find out what is wrong with her Let my body keep you warm, Let my essence be your breeze=Uzi wanting to keep N safe even with everything that is happening Can you hear me calling?=Uzi wants to know if N actually wants to help her Please look out for me=Uzi needs help because she is suffering Can you set me free?=Uzi wants to stop the absolute Solver Will you take my soul away?=Uzi knows the Solver/Cyn will control her Casting me in cold, bury me in bones. Eest eternally=Uzi wants to sacrifice herself so that the solver doesn't spread Will you take me home?=Uzi wanting to go home and everything to be normal Can we see the moon again?=Uzi wanting to do something good before she dies Dancing in the dark, 'til we fall apart=Uzi wanting to spend her last moments/days with N I can't end this dream=Uzi knowing she can't just stop everything
I like this take on how it's about Uzi, I disagree since the song is used when V dies. But I like that there's actually something to it other then "no it's Uzi", it doesn't bug me too much but it is annoying to see a bunch of people ignore your argument instead of proposing a counter one. Given that they use some of the lyrics when V comes back in Episode 8 and when she meets Cynessa for the first time, it is definitely V's song.
@@Excavator32 Honestly though, ima list off some angst: V: knowing what they are, hiding things, protecting everyone, acting tough, feeling like she's worth nothing , guilt, and etc. N: vulnerable, naive, treated like sh!t, tries to help everyone, being rejected, having 4 ppl he cared abt "lost", and etc. Cyn: past trauma obviously, mistreated, controlled, witnessing death bc of her, and etc. Ahh yes, I love Trauma Drones.
@@Serialdesignation__X__Xyra It's a good idea, going over how trauma is shown in MD. I was gonna shoot in down because each of the breakdowns go into it. But i never go super in depth about their issues so I could actually. V has PTSD, Uzi has abandonment issues. N has an unhealthy saviour complex
I see eternal dream fits Uzis more than v because v is already free from any control the solver has over her while uzi don’t and uzi is way more uncertain over things than v and maybe the line “can you hear me calling?” Refers to uzi in space calling for N and the line “will you take me home ” also refers to uzi asking N if he would take her back to copper 9 after being in space. I also see many people think that copper 9 is the planet which got exploded which is wrong because if you take a closer look it’s copper 9 moon which will make “can we the moon again” more realistic and full of despair which fits the vibes of eternal dream Note sorry if you couldn’t understand my English or what I’m saying because English is not my first language and I don’t usually make comments this long Best wishes for you
2:43 that is definitely not an animation error. It further confirms that V remembers a lot more than N (which is why she keeps him in the dark, she remembers all the trauma and being forced to torture her mutual cruch to death), including what happened and enough to recognize the solver and CYN. V is almsot 100% having Solver PTSD flashbacks, similarly to when she saw Uzi transform an arow into a fleshy abomination later on. She was ready to kill Uzi right there if she made any CYN-like movements or acted aggressively. The rest of the video is pretty good (and V is by far my favourite character), but I wasn't expecting someone to not pick up on that. We already know that V doesn't want N to pry into that stuff, that stuff quite clearly being their past, including the Solver. I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything, but it's just weird to me that people think she doesn't remember the traumatic things, with all these actions (and even her own words) saying otherwise. Her telling Uzi that she doesn't recognize that symbol was most likely just a part of the psycho act she puts up. It seemingly not really doing anything made V not panic and shoot her on the spot, unlike what happened when she saw that Uzi's AS actually started functioning. V becoming aggressive in the episode after that makes sense considering what I pointed out earlier. Also, V wants Uzi to stay distant for 2 reasons: So Uzi doesn't hurt N if she turns into CYN. And so N won't be as sad when they'll have to eventually kill Uzi if she does turn into CYN.
6:50 I don't know it seems too much like a fakeout to be V dying but if she did I'd be so very sad. My favourite characters never get enough screen time. It also just seems a bit too dark for the show given how the show has so far stayed away from being super dark and was more fun
Also about 3:19 she wasn't doing that to be mean she at this point thought Uzi was cyn and wanted her alone probably to kill her at least that's my theory
Btw even though completely irrelevant in 6:25 lizzy phone is purple then uzis dad throws her phone in the ground 6:34 which is white and when lizzy pulls it out again its the phone that uzis dad threw on the floor (an animation error?)😭
When we only had ep 1 and 2 I didn't think too much of V, but after all we've got out of her...yeah no she's best girl, wife material, 100/10 character, etc.
I don't know if I'd call her the best personally, but I really like V as a character and how they turned a stereotypical detached sociopath into a very interesting character while still keeping everything else relevant
@@Excavator32 At the start she kind of just fit in the mold of Liam's other "crazy psycho girls", but the more we learned of her the more interesting she got. The whole "Liam crazy psycho girl" thing is just a mask she puts on to hide the fact she's very unhappy and scared, and I find that so interesting as a choice for her character
@@justcallmeleonardo well V kinda has ptsd and she might be avoiding N because he reminds her of the Gala and by extension Cyn, or the source of her trauma. She's definitely unhappy and scared but I'd go as far to say she has ptsd
@@Excavator32 She's also stuck serving the source of her trauma, due to Cyn holding a lot of power over her and even N. So she kind of detached herself from reality to not have to face the pain of her current situation and her past traumas back on Earth. I just really want someone to give her a big hug, which is why I'll huff copium and believe she's still alive and well until the show ends 🥲
I think the song fits V better personally. Especially since the lyrics are quite deep and are about V's backstory. I feel the reason it's relatable to Uzi is because we see more of what she goes through.
