Honestly, Imma say a bit of a hot take, I always felt Kid A as extremely peaceful, pretty and kind of warm. It's not an album that scares me or makes me sad. It doesn't get me up and going, sure, but it does make me give me a nice feeling in my chest. I feel like, even if Thom was going through a rough time, doing music was still the only thing that gave him anything positive, and he probably used it as a way to find that positivity in his dark empty life.
