- In this video I am showing how to render a fair skin tone with acrylic on canvas. In this portrait painting of a girl I am showing the step by step process of painting with acrylic colors without using any retarder. In this demonstration I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder or any kind of medium is used in the entire process.
I have started this painting with a base coat of Yellow Ochre, Crimson and Permanent Orange. Then, I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone and the effect of transparent cloths. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.

So awesomely painted. Each time I watch your painting, i learn something new... I wish I could get your prints so I can also practice and paint like you. You are so perfunctory mixing the colours and achieving the tones, I am inspired...
Thanks a lot for your appreciation 🙏 I think you can easily achieve the skin tone. It's not hard. Just use thin layers instead of thick paint in the beginning. Later you can use glazing to merge any imperfections. Good luck 👍
@@DebojyotiBoruahArt what is glazing..
@@fauziasaeed5160 Glazing is the application of colors in thin layers to achieve a desired color or effect. You can use this technique to correct any imperfections, color correction or changing the entire mood or environment of a painting. I used this technique in my recent Amy Painting video to change the color of the cloth from dark bluish to purplish. Please have a look. Thank you.
Truly amazing to perfect your skills at this level.

Plz make a video on ur acrylic supplies
I use mostly Camlin Artist Acrylic colors and white bristle flats and round nylons. And 300 gsm paper or canvas as painting surface. That's all. Nothing fancy. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏
After seeing ur extraordinary skills I am getting jealous!😂😂😂😂just kidding
Thanks a lot for your kind words and encouragement 🙏😊 Have a great day 👍😃🎨🖌️😃
do you let the base skin coat dry or continue immediately....
Not always. But sometimes I wait for a moment to dry the base layer. It depends on the situation and style. Thank you.
Whare do you get your brushes?
Any brush will do. It depends completely upon your style of work. I do prefer little stiffer white bristle flat brushes for blending. And round synthetic nylon for details. I do sometimes use watercolor brushes too for some texture. Hope this will help you. Thank you so much.
Want to ask u Smth...from where did u learn this portrait making with acrylics...?I also want to learn!
I am a self taught artist. I started painting with Acrylic since 2008. Before that I used oils. But now it's my favorite medium. You can learn through practicing. That's all. Thanks for watching 🙏🎨
@@DebojyotiBoruahArt ok thnkuu...😃
Camlin Artist Acrylic Colors is not available in our country what other brand would you recommend?
You can use any brand. Go for Liquitex, Golden, Pebeo or Winsor Newton. They have high reputation in Acrylic paint. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏
@@DebojyotiBoruahArt have you tried the paints that you mentioned, Liquitex, golden, pebeo, and winsor and newton?
You are lucky then😃👍 Actually Camlin is a cheap and best reliable alternative to those costlier brands. In India it is so popular.
Dada plz tell us your paint brush's name.
I want to buy that.
I usually use white bristle flat and round nylons of different sizes and shapes from Camlin and some local brands. Any brand work. I have links in most of my video description. Please have a look. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏

@@DebojyotiBoruahArt sir aapne bohot mehnat ki he is leval tak pahuchne ke liye me samajh sakta ho aur artist banne ke liye bohot kharcha bhi hota he par log sochte he ki artist banna bohot aasan hota he
@@gopaldass2727 Sahi kaha aapne. Me pichle 40 salo se painting karta aa raha hu. RUclips me to kuch salo se dalna suru kia hai. Aap logo ki support ke liye bohot dhanyabad 🙏
