- This is a demo reel done by the former OHP producer Jonathyn Brown, and you can hear some old production pieces along with liners and stagers from the OLD version of SupeRadio's "Open House Party with John Garabedian", and the old "Street Jams with Paco Lopez". A lot of the voice over's were done by Mark Driscoll, the former Voice over for Open House Party from 1989-2001. The audio heard here is some of the production that you'd hear on OHP in the 1990's, and sometimes you'll even hear some of these things today!
Before Open House Party lost Mark Driscoll to Mike McKay in 2001 as the voice over, and since the exclusion of segments like "Make it or Break It" and "Satellite Mega-Mix", Open House Party had some of the coolest audio production in radio and the most interactive segments to hit the airwaves.. OHP has changed so much since the classic 90's broadcasts that would air on over 150 radio stations on the planet!

A nice surprise!!!
It's nice to relive these moments. Here's a fun story. Back then, we didn't have unlimited access to sound effects and digital libraries for every noise known to man, so during that "horror movie" (which all done in one take), Gloria and I first collected a mail crate full of leaves from John's backyard, then we ran around the house a couple times so we'd be out of breath. We dipped a third mic into the crate full of leaves and I just crushed them with my hands as we "walked through the woods". Theater of the mind. people. This is why radio will always win over television and movies. Your brain has to do half the work, and the results are as limitless as your own imagination.
