What an amazing instrument! I have a sister bass to this one, it was made for the same client. 32" fretted 6 string Spoiler with close string spacing, mahogany and walnut body with maple accent laminate, multilaminate maple and purpleheart neck topped with ebony. It is the most comfortable thing I ever played, the neck and tone is just perfect. You sound amazing, and I'm glad you enjoy this bass :)
@@trevorlindsey580 ha! I'm afraid selling it is out of the question for now. Sorry, it's a dream instrument for me. But, if there ever will be a necessity, you will be the first man I'll reach out to :)
Thanks so much. Yes, I am using D'Addario Chromes in the lighter gauge. I would use the nylon wrap strings, but you can't get the high string in nylon.
@@LindaPituccini I have had many MD7's from Ken, and they are great. That said, I am still convinced that there is no better bass than an Alembic......
@@trevorlindsey580 do you still possess this subject 7 string spoiler? I've seen the same one on reverb..... if ever you would sell it, let me know please, i am in Canada
Those maple lines have aged, and are barely visible now. With no lines, and the side dots in the wrong place, this thing is way more challenging than you can imagine. LOL.
I don't think I've ever seen a 7 stringed Alembic! Lovely stuff, nice bass!

That's wild!
Fantastic playing and tone as always, Trevor. Are the Daddario chromes you are playing flatwound?

Sweet bass! What kind of strings do you have on it?
I am using D'Addario Chromes with a GHS bare F string. Had to mix and match a bit.
Is it stock model or custom order???
Mega custom....as are most Alembics.
@@trevorlindsey580 damn….. I am a 7 string bass player, I would buy a Melvin Lee Davis Ken Smith MD7, but your beast is much more crazy…….

@@LindaPituccini Hi Linda,
I do still own this bass. I will keep it in mind if I decide to pass it along.
Too bad it has lines.
Takes the sportsmanship out of playing fretless.
Kids will think I'm not cool with fret lines.
