      I mean, we do get to see the evolution of players, for example Pettersson, hes 27 pounds lighter than the second lightest player to ever win the event and his record is the highest by a foward that won ever, and he has the second and third hardest shots in the competition as a foward.

      @@wayne3340 That was a regular format back in the 50s and 60s...It started out as a somewhat serious venture, but they found that whatever TEAM was playing against all stars (who never played together before), would easily take down the super heroes... This was not a good thing for league fans who wanted to see their heroes BEAT the champs...It just wasn't happening so it became more of a skills exhibition and evolved to standing your surfboard in the sand and see if you can knock it down with a hard shot....And anyone who did not grow up playing hockey would have very little interest in this ridiculous format....

    You got to remember Shea and Z were huge. Plus players are putting more emphasis on the wrist shot. Even youth players in certain areas can't even do a slapshot they're 12 years old.

    The late Bobby Hull was timed at 116 mph with a straight blade wooden stick. How do you think Al McInnis, Al Iafrade, and other legendary 100+ MPH shooters would do with these modern sticks?? It is a frightening thought.

      With today's sticks it's more about technique than it is about power. Like a golf swing. EP is using the flex on the stick to it's maximum. Ovei, not so much.

    just terrible. interviewing over the event. i get it, but the delayed results, and nothing displayed on the TV, no instant pop from the crowd. usually anything over 100 gets a pop.

      У него очень сильный бросок, это далеко не миф. В 18 или 19 году он на матче звёзд бросил сильнее всех. А так да, есть игроки бросающие сильнее него
