@@DarrenTsai_ Just watching a lot of house hunting type shows, critiquing the agents, and daydreaming about another career because mine is so busy and hectic and stressful. But it seems like real estate can be the same way. And I'm sure it's harder and more work than it looks from the comfort of my couch. I feel like my partner and I would make a good real estate team. We would be super honest and not pushy and not show clients homes that are above their budget. We'd have clients do little role plays to really get the feel for living there to help judge if the house is a good it for them. We're not really salespeople, though. And I know agents often live off their commission, so of course there is the pressure and need to make sales, so you'd have to be a salesperson. We/I have been daydreaming about it for a while, maybe doing it on the side of my job and eventually doing it full time instead of my other job. I just looked into it more seriously. Your channel has been helpful in me becoming realistic about it. It may not be for me/us. But I may keep thinking about it and looking into it further. Thank you and I'm sorry if you read all this!

Sounds like you are ready to change your life, real estate might be the best way for you to do it. I looked into your situation a little bit more and came up with this. It is also important to note, that most agents will need a valid drivers license and reliable car. Here is what I found: The California Business and Professions Code grant the Department of Real Estate (DRE) the right to deny a license based on a previous criminal record. This includes misdemeanor and felony convictions that occurred in any county in the country. The DRE will investigate each case individually to determine if a conviction warrants denial. In addition to the conviction, aggravating factors will also be considered. You’re most likely to be denied if the conviction is related to the requirements, function, and duties of having a real estate license. The DRE uses something called the Criteria of Substantial Relationship to make the determination. Licenses are also commonly denied due to a conviction of a violent crime. The DRE has created a list of the most common disqualifying convictions so applicants know their odds before applying. If you have a previous conviction it’s a good idea to check the list out since you won’t be refunded the application fee if your application is denied. The most common disqualifying convictions are listed below; however this list is not all inclusive: Assault with intent to commit r*pe Bribing public officer or employee Burglary Conviction that requires registration pursuant to Section 290 of the Penal Code Criminal conspiracy Embezzlement Extortion Filing a false police or fire report Forgery Fraud Grand theft * Definition of “Conviction” M*rder Obtaining money by false pretenses Perjury Sexually related conduct affecting a person who is an observer or non consenting participant Perjury Petty theft Possession of drugs for sale or transport Soliciting a lewd act from a minor or non consenting adult. For the third course what should I pick for house flipping ? What license should I get? Sales person license or brokers license for house flipping?
You want to flip houses? You don’t technically need a license to do that
