      I went with the wave. I can't ditch the bifold wallets, and I like how the cards are oriented.

      I own this version of the gravity and absolutely love it. Design and use case for a wallet is a highly personal thing, and this one is perfect for me, anyway.
      It's also really nicely made. Feels like it'll hold up over time, looks great, and lots of thoughtful touches. The little internal pocket is perfect for a guitar pick and the yubikey I have to carry for work. The SIM pocket will hold a micro SD card.
      I don't agree with the assessment in the comments that it must be bulky. After a month of daily use with 7 cards in it, it's worn in to where it does not feel in the least bit bulky. Really very nice, especially for the price.
      One correction on the review: they also offer a non-RFID version for $5 less, which is what I bought. It works perfectly with my metro card stashed inside.

      @@shibaku73 Thanks John. I've been carrying this wallet for a couple weeks now and I don't have any problems using my access card through it so I think I have a non-RFID version too. Thanks for brining that up and everyone knows by now...I'd rather have the RFID version :)

    Thanks for helping me decide to buy another wallet I don't need. I can't help myself on this one. There's something about it. BTW, doing the cash/card insertion tests would be way sexier with 10,000 Yen bills. 😉

    Definitely inspired by Bellroy, but without the emphasis on thinness.

  • @chappyhappy8483

    Thanks for this.
    I was considering the Bellroy Slim Sleeve, but this has a bit better visual design.
    The only downside would be the thickness and maybe a designer skin version like the Bellroy. They seemed to have increased their price to be same-ish as the Bellroy Slim Sleeve since recording (at least using CAD)?

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад

      Yes, in November 2018 they raised their prices a bit. More in line with the market but when their prices were lower they had a real market share opportunity while still not undercutting on quality.

    Auroch gravity is good but it's not practical in the middle of the market while you are exchanging cash, yes for cards its very convenient wallet i must say the best, and suddenly Aurochs raised their prices like hell

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад +1

      Agreed. If they would have kept their pricing just under the market norm, they could be killing it. Their quality does justify their pricing, but based on their supply chain, they really could increase market share on price alone.

    I've commented on this before. These small 'pocket items' no matter who designed them shouldn't fall in the category of 'wallets', less even cost so much. They're just simple 'card holders' in which one finds a tight space to fit a little bent cash. It's like calling practical comfortable real wallets 'card holders'. Each to his own.

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  3 года назад +1

      It’s a definition thing. Society has accepted that anything which can hold cards or cash or coins is considered a wallet. From there the taxonomy breaks down further.
