Great vid! I’m going to convert my old Hyper ST Pro to brushless for my son to bash. He’s half worn out my RC8 and I want him to have his own rig to break and fix. Got spare Hobbywing motor and ESC should work well on the heavy, yet tough as nails, Hyper ST. Your guide has been a big help.
Yeah mate I used the hobbywing aswell it has more then enough power for what I’m doing lol. I happy this has helped you with your build . This is why I do it you will have to send me a vid of it going when your finished . Thanks for the message mate Regards Glen
Thanks hidden Rc roads this 1/8 nitro to Electric conversion Wes my very first RUclips build I hope it helps anyone wanting to do the same thing . Thanks for the comment I hope you are enjoying my vids Kind regards Glen
@@chriscunningham7790 hi it’s really up To you what you would like to do . I only did the conversation because the motor was blown and I wanted to push myself at the time to see if I can do it . But the motor , esc, battery , are abit pricey but if you like doing stuff yourself and see what you can work out and if you won’t a brushless car / buggy / monster truck by all means do it for me there is no better feeling then building an Rc from the ground up and having fun using it
Lovin the vids!!! I have an older 8th scale Nitro Xray 808 buggy I was given believe it from around 2007 or 2008...ive had it stored away since it was given to me in 2010....is there an electric conversion kit out there for that buggy?..I would love to get it goin again..just dont want to go the nitro route...the thing is damn near mint except for the trashed nitro engine...want to go all electric..less maintenance and cleanup. .would make it alot easier especially now that I'm at home now due to fighting terminal cancer...we have a big park that also has a skate park in it right across the street from our house...would be fun to build a bashin buggy to rip it up...lmk..I could use all the help I can get!!! Hi randy v I happy you are lovin my vids . With your X-ray I can’t find any sort of conversation kit for a nitro to Electric. You might have to wing it like me and do the same build as the vid mate . I fully agree that the nitro do have there fair share of problems and the mess and these days the electric seen has taking off with very fast brushless combos . I’m sorry I couldn’t help you any more then this with your build but my saying is “if it works it’s not done wrong “. Because there are so many different ways you can do a electric conversion it’s just the parts you might have to modify or drill different holes. Thanks heaps for watching my vids mate means a lot if you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll try my best to help you out . Kind regards Glen
I’m converting my Losi 1/8 2.0 from nitro to electric. Don’t think the nitro body will fit afterwards. Any suggestions what body will fit the 2.0 after the conversion?
Hi Joseph the shell should fit after the conversion from nitro to electric. Only because the motor and sometimes the fuel tank will be higher then the battery or motor on the electrics that what I found with the build I did on here . I’m sorry I can’t help you with what other shell will fit it I’m not sure but keep the nitro shell and use that as a test fitter see if the battery and everything else will fit I hope this helps you abit mate sorry I couldn’t help you much more Kind regards Glen
that motor mount is really nice but problem normally is the bearing hole. I did use it on my kyosho and I had to modify the hole for the bearing to fit.
I love my nitro but boy in canada the fuel is expensive 170.99 a gallon, did know that before I bought it, might be doing this conversion also I wreckin
Yeah I love nitro to mate but my neighbours are never happy when I use my other nitro car . Also the motor in the buggy I did the nitro to electric conversion to was stuffed . So I thought why not push myself see if I can do it . If you hav any questions please don’t hesitate to ask with the build I hope you like my vid and thanks for the message . Kind regards Glen
@anythingeverythingRc definitely a good idea if the neighbors are yapping and the motor is messed up lol, for me its just the price of nitro that's the killer,

well if he wants it to be reliable and start first click every time and have no stink or mess or loud noise or be slow then he is doing the correct thing 🤣
@@steveclough6794 Point blank. My parents bought me one when I was 13 (after much begging 😅), and it was a total disappointment. I think I never finished the engine break-in on that car. Carburetor problems, you left it on the shelf for a few weeks and the engine got all sticky inside from the nitro, it wouldn't run well and it broke the starting cord so many times we got discouraged. It got more use by me setting it on a table and looking at it and moving the suspension than anything. 🤦 Not to mention that the shops where about 40 miles away and the people at the shop didn't seem particularly inclined to help us much. (And they went out of bussines like crazy, you went once and a few months later the shop was closed). Now I'm looking to convert it to electric or buying a little rock crawler. Edit: The only gas engines worth the time were the 1/5 that came with the 2 stroke engines like a chainsaw, those started always, no problem finding fuel...
@@makpsv the 1/5 are loud and will get you barred from the neighborhood , you have to run it in the park or on your own land but they are fun to run!!!!
