I hope the victims were not trapped. I just learned how hard it is to open the door in a Cybertruck if the power fails. If you're a passenger in a tesla, you better figure this out BEFORE you crash.
On the Cybertruck rear seats the emergency door release is behind a rubber cover on the door that has a emergency mechanical release cable. Agree definitely worth looking up the diagram before you crash. It's a different mechanism for the driver by the way. On the Model S rear seats it's under the carpet between your legs, and you pull it towards the center of the vehicle. Again, worth looking up the official instructions before you get be a passenger in these "fly-by-wire" vehicles.

My God… my daughter is a senior at USC, I couldn’t imagine loosing her. But she is in the house at that hour, even at school. No matter what it’s tragic and heartbreaking. Prayers 🙏
My kids went to UCLA and UCSD. They are now late 30s. But I remember very very well that the first couple of years in college, they all come "home" and the night before, Wed. night, connect with their friends from high school who are also home. It's a generational tradition. Being out undil 3am is not so weird for a 19 year old. And you'd think in their sophomore year in college they'd know not to drive crazy like that. Very very sad for all families. Lives will never be the same. Regardless of which kid caused it (obviously the driver) it's very sad.
I'm sorry for the horrific loss of life of these young people, and my heart goes out to their families! With THAT said, here's what's "wrong" with this picture, and the puzzling lack of information: 1) a Tesla Cybertruck must have the technology to report what SPEED the vehicle was traveling at when the crash occurred...nothing is being mentioned about that. 2) 3:00 AM....HUH?!? What on EARTH were these kids doing out at 3:00 AM??? I'm 71, and my dear old dad told me as a kid, that "nothing good is going on after midnight, so you better be home!". No more obvious proof of that than this horrible accident! 3) Drinking and driving? NO MENTION what so ever about whether or not these young college students had been "partying" or not. Anyone wanna bet? Again, it's a tragic, heart-breaking loss for everyone involved....that's true. However....Immaturity coupled with many other factors are highlighted in this event. Vehicles that accelerate as quickly and go as fast as the Tesla does puts inexperienced drivers in compromising situations far too often. Anyone being "out and about" in the wee hours of the morning partying...not good. And finally, was there alcohol involved?? Super-sad for the everyone involved!
My heart goes out to the families that lost their precious babies and for the one who is still in the hospital I pray that God bless you to get better 🙏 and I also pray for your family may they rest in peace❤😢
It’s not what they say, it’s what they don’t say. Racing from a house party at 3am, under the influence. So many people are liable. Parents of CT driver, house party parents, that’s why they aren’t telling the full story. This event is going to ruin lives way beyond the tragic and unfortunate loss of life.
Whether it was speed, alcohol, wealth, privilege or anything else those in that Tesla caused, what a horrible way to learn their lessons by being killed, they're not coming back to say, "We learned our lessons." They were loved. They will be missed. Too young. Too soon. This is not the end, life is a circle not a straight line.
I thought someone in a 7,000 lbs electric tank plowed into a group of students, but turns out it is the students plowed their Cybertruck in a wall. Huh. No comment.
Sad, young people have to learn that driving fast takes years to master. I've worked on so many young men that drive fast and crash in vehicles not designed to go fast. You cant drive fast unless you have had years of track experience, though kids think they know better though they dont.

Sad. I pray for a full recovery for the lone survivor and pray for the family and friends of the 3 who died.
Same. God have mercy 🙏
I hope the victims were not trapped. I just learned how hard it is to open the door in a Cybertruck if the power fails. If you're a passenger in a tesla, you better figure this out BEFORE you crash.
And don’t speed. I own model y and Cybertruck - these machines are to be respected not abused. Tough lesson for the dead to learn💀
Yup. Elon's so efficient he needn't bother with rear passenger interior door handles.
You stupid ????
On the Cybertruck rear seats the emergency door release is behind a rubber cover on the door that has a emergency mechanical release cable. Agree definitely worth looking up the diagram before you crash. It's a different mechanism for the driver by the way.
On the Model S rear seats it's under the carpet between your legs, and you pull it towards the center of the vehicle. Again, worth looking up the official instructions before you get be a passenger in these "fly-by-wire" vehicles.
And it bursts into flames? I would be scared to own one
Elon will call them woke.
Don't buy Tesla, buy other brands, i heard people who also had a Tesla complaining of low quality materials they used in Tesla, just because you saw your neighbor driving a Tesla doesn't mean you have to go and buy one, don't be a copycat
What is the story of the person who helped? Is he not a hero? Did he not save Jordan? Someone driving behind? This is a horrific situation..why is the driver following behind a " someone"...is it a tragedy? Were they being chased? So many holes. I do not hear anything about this mom being thankful for the "good samaritan". Who is this " good samaritan"? Anyone know who they are?
I think they were racing.
Feel so sorry for these youngsters in this ugly dangerous car.
This is an example for you not to drink and use drugs while driving, no matter how powerful you think you are driving.
And this is an example of a more on assuming too much before ANY evidence is provided
great journalism job. what was the cause of accident? 🤨
I just saw someone on this video. So the person driving ended up dying. His 3 other passengers died. But this poor kid survive he's gonna have a lot of remorse. He needs a lot of support right now. This s*** should've never happen. Driving that recklessly from what witnesses said. Stupid things happen like my dad always taught me you do stupid s*** You win stupid prizes and the prize was 3 people loss her lives today and the parents at own that cybertruck. Wine hill, would you let that kid drive something with that much power? They're gonna be the ones that are gonna pay the ultimate price in this because I guarantee you. There's gonna be f****** lawsuits.
My God… my daughter is a senior at USC, I couldn’t imagine loosing her. But she is in the house at that hour, even at school. No matter what it’s tragic and heartbreaking. Prayers 🙏
I hope your USC educated daughter know the difference between looser and loser or losing and loosing.
With THAT said, here's what's "wrong" with this picture, and the puzzling lack of information:
1) a Tesla Cybertruck must have the technology to report what SPEED the vehicle was traveling at when the crash occurred...nothing is being mentioned about that.
Actions have consequences
So wise you are
These kids gave their lives for Tesla shareholders. Each one deserves a purple heart. Thoughts and prayers, y'all.
My deepest condolences to the families but as a parent please do not let your child drive any owned Tesla’s.
She gave 3 names... there are only 2 victims
Human error not a vehicle error. It has to be said for those who will blame tesla.
I don’t floor my vehicle and I’m well into my thirties. I don’t race anyone but the police. So don’t ask.
We didn’t
@@moogs People do ask me to race. I shake my head no.
I was wondering if the cybertruck was not built to be crashed proof
3 AM. Seems like there are a lot of deadly accidents around that time.
R.I.P.
May they all rest in peace. I’m sorry for your losses. I pray that God and his Angels surround your families and friends during this horrible tragedy. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
They were young adults and students... who owned the truck?
This is the quintessential Piedmont tragedy.
Why they don’t name the driver? They are all adults.
They're just holding off I guess, blaming on investigation, altho clearly they knew the driver. And the car owner. So sad.
Drivers parents would be getting threats. They are in a horrible position, they are also grieving, but are totally responsible for the others loss of life.
So sad my condolences for the family
KPIX 5 cbs - what was Alcohol content of the 4 kids , what did TOX screen reveal ILLEGAL drugs in System.
JUST THE FACTS please.
You said the facts 💀
I doubt you can run those tests, since they've already been cremated.
The facts are you don’t know the proper use of capitalization.
So what is the deal with these particular cars and trucks? Aren’t they supposed to know when to slow down ??? Serious question
WAIT ! HOLD MY BEER ...
Why are they making it a big deal with a cyber truck?? If it was any other car they would be reporting this news 😐😐😐 what does the cybertruck have to do ? They were speeding & that’s on them .
Teslas may be bulletproof but they sure as hell aren't treeproof.
So sad that the other kids had to pay for the consequences of the driver. Also. If it was a Toyota Corolla, I wonder if they would put the name up in the headline as well.
Corolla would have hit tree at 27,not 87.
Who was the driver and the driver's parents?
When are they going to release the name of the killer?
I hear that the steering system on the cyber truck is something other than traditional steering and the brain has to relearn how to drive this new vehicle.
One is to Many.
~too~
When I was their age, I did some really stupid, reckless, and jerky things with my car. But of course, my car was a 52-hp Honda Civic. If I had a Tesla, or any car capable of that kind of speed, I likely wouldn't be here posting this message. Sometimes, good kids will do stupid things, so parents have to limit what they have access to.
Doesn't matter what type of truck you drive.....not just cypertruck.
A sad story...rip
Cybertruck is 0-60 2.6. Please show me any other truck as near as fast as this....
true...but wud an electric car be worse?...as the large battery wud catch fire?... i dont know..... in my country its not worth buyin an electric car as there is no resale value.... for fear of costly battery replacement...
Damn, Krista is incredible. Anyone got a link to her OF?
If you speed, you die. Poor or Filthy Rich, if you speed, you die. Affluenza caused this accident.
The Cybertruck didnt crash…..a teen crashed it.
Speeding? Drugs? Alcohol?…show-boating?
And elon KNOWS about this RAGING FIRE issue.....
The CyberDeathTrap looks like a silver coffin
Why say anything about the make. Why cyber truck? You don't say Ford ev250!
They do
@@Themeans-n4n because the Cybertruck is vastly more powerful. Ford drivers tend to buy Ford trucks for practical reasons and not to flex. The CT is a novelty and a status symbol. Add to that fact, it’s just a bad design. It’s heavy with its battery and cold rolled steel. No crumple zones to absorb the energy of an impact plus it’s capable of achieving speeds it has no business traveling. Thanks, Elon.
I know this about to sound insane but DAMN THOSE FAMILIES ABOUT TO GET PAID CALL A LAWYER ASAP.
This is a horrible combination of powerful machines and the lack of respect for them from wet behind the ear kids.
Which one was driving?
So very heartbreaking and such an awful loss! Why are all these late model vehicles “bursting into flames?” Could their lives have been saved if not for these fiery vehicles! Manufactures needs to tell us more! 🙏🏽💐😢🙏🏽
The truck doors have electric locks and no handles to open it death trap..
recall cybertruck
How fast you go?
Speed kills. Dragster acceleration on a road.
Trees are dangerous! Remove all trees near any roads!
Can't fix stupid.
Teenagers must be rich…I had a clapped-out rusty 20 year old Datsun 120A as a teen……
To Yung to be driving that kind of vehicle 😮
Not true, they are rich they can do whatever they want.
@juice7661 rich has nothing to do with being to young to handle a vehicle like that a rich means more stupidity...
RIP 🕊️
I tried to tell parents out there don't let your children to drive ridiculous fast electric tesla this is what happens just buy a Corolla instead sorry for those who lost
The Cybertrashcan burst into flames?
That’s why drive Chevy
...does the battery pose a danger?... the fire may have been the deal breaker in this case as the victims may have passed out and unable to escape the burning battery of electric cars...
They seem to burst into flames with every serious crash. The “Elon special” sounds like a terrible way to die.
