Tl;dr
For those who are unaware of what happened:
NoCopyrightSounds was a promo label transitioning and when they signed Tobu he had 100% rights to his music, as they support and promoted his work. His contract expired and he had to give ncs full rights to his music which he objected so his older promo/partial releases are taken down.

For those who are unaware, all of Tobu's songs are still on his channel
Only 2016-present.
The reason : Tobu had 100 percent rights on his 13 songs, and his releases were taken down and this was due to Tobu not wanting to renew the contract with NCS for these tracks as Tobu shared ownership of the tracks and NCS wanted to take full ownership of the tracks, which Tobu did not want to happen. Additionally, a RUclips Short that featured Tobu's 2014-2015 music has been removed.

NCS is slowly getting rid of one thing that kept it going. They are promoting the nostalgia stuff so much so the fact that they couldn't have changed things up to keep Tobu around is impressive to me.
True that’s really odd, they promote the nostalgia from these artists but drop them in a single heartbeat despite them being a staple and a renowned artist on the label for nearly a decade. Smells like poor artist management and communication combined with indifference to me.
And yet they still keep the elevate album which was trash
All of the classic Tobu and Alan Walker songs on NCS got removed because a contract between him and NCS expired at their perspective dates of being removed.
Bro, I can't wait to get an NCS channel one day so I can bring back NCS to life.
I wake up at 7 am to listen to this masterpiece each day :)

Tobu is the main reason why I'm here on NCS, he is the reason why i discovered NCS and started listening to NCS songs before on 2019 because of his songs "Cloud 9", "Sunburst" and "Hope". One of my unforgettable removals on NCS channel...💔😭

This is incredible... Just five days ago I listened to Mesmerize again to use it in my top and yesterday when I look for it again I realize that it was privatized, that it is no longer in NCS.
And it goes without saying that I also realized that they privatized the other twelve Tobu songs from 2014-2015

I was one of the guys who created ncs and left it. Because is no copyright, every one can buy it. Thats why.... The Chanel was created because of GEMA and not in your country music back on the days of 2012 when i remember IT.

It's very sad to see so many artists who were the symbol of NCS and at the forefront of House Music leave one after another...
The situation with Tobu is pretty simple.
Tobu wants to copyright claim everyone that doesnt credit his name in the description [be aware that claim =/= strike, he doesnt want to take down all vids that dont have him credited, copyright claim means that the revenue goes to the artist that made the claim]
and NCS never wants to claim any video, even when the artist is not credited
so thats where was the disagreement, Tobu doesnt like that he doesnt get credited very often
BUT there is still a chance that we will see Tobu on NCS again, there is even a chance that these songs will be back on NCS (as long as they wont get deleted, this can be undone only by RUclips)
NCS wrote in a statement that there is a chance Tobu will be back on NCS and even the removed songs may be back, there just has to be an agreement from the both sides. But Tobu doesnt want to agree to NCS terms anymore so it just depends on him, because i dont think that NCS will change their terms because of a single artist, even if its one of their legends

I expected these songs to be removed. Couple months ago I checked copyright claim that NCS received on older Tobu's tracks like Sunburst & Colors and when I saw 'License: Concord Music Publishing, BMI - Broadcast Music Inc., and 6 Music Rights Societies', I already knew that these tracks would be gone in near future.
Now, I'm also afraid of Janji's stuff which is in the same situation as old Tobu's stuff and Alan Walker's songs were in 2021-2022.

Its honestly incredibly fucking sad that all these tracks I used to listen to back in the day are just getting privated. 5 days ago I was literally relistening to all of tobu's song and now they are all gone just like that. Sad man.

I discovered NCS after Alan Walker was R.I.P.ed, so I didn't understand why people miss Alan Walker that much.
Looks like I understand it now. Although I discovered NCS by Elektronomia, it was tobu's songs which made me fasinated in NCS. Now Tobu is R.I.P.ed. ㅠ.ㅠ
@@highjean5159 This hurts more than when Alan Walker's songs were removed. Tobu used to be my favorite NCS artist.
Alan has 42M subscribers, Sub Urban has 5M, K391 has 2M, and Tobu has 1M. Rest of artists have less than 1M.
Now, two of them were gone, and K391 might be disappear soon. That leaves only Sub urban which has more than 1M subscribers.
@@highjean5159 I think in future sub urban will be gone because he only has 1 release on ncs (from my knowledge) and he didn't posted any music after 2019. As a result, no ncs artist will be left with over 1 million subscribers.

The contract between NCS and Tobu ended because otherwise Tobu had to give (from what I've understood) full rights to NCS for the songs to stay..

@@CosmicKenny3479 From what I have read, the newer contracts have a different way to split the ownership of the songs. That's maybe why the newer Tobu songs are still there (or because their contracts haven't expired yet idk). Tobu's contract for the older songs might be different, so the terms might be different but I don't know. This is purely a guess.

Plus all are gone from NCS's website
ngl I excepted Alan Walker's songs to get removed eventually because of his contract with Sony. But I never saw this coming, Tobu is in my top 5 favorite NCS artists.

it is highly unlikely that he will return to NCS, since several artists, after losing their contract with the label, have not returned, as well as Ahrix, Alan Walker, and recently him. and since NCS was going to have the rights to his music after the contract expired recently, surely, Tobu didn't like that and went to another label. That is what I think...
