The sole reason I never picked up the Mapusaurus was because of the pose. Just from looking at the promotional images I knew this thing was going to warp very quickly. It’s a shame, because I absolutely love the sculpt on it.
@@starbirds2464 Mapusaurus is an extremely cool and under appreciated dinosaur. It’s unfortunate that Giganotosaurus is often credited to living alongside Argentinosaurus, when it was actually Mapusaurus who hunted one of the largest animals to ever exist.
@@paleoscinkus542 yes and mapusaurus is underplayed constantly as the smaller weaker cousin of giganotosaurus but it came after so in reality it's the more evolved cousin and it's about the same size. It's basically the same animal just better at what it does. Giga hugged massive sauropods but nothing to the extent of argentinosaurus. And mapusaurus likely evolved special adaptations (along with greater size and strength) to bring them down. I'm glad pnso did it's size justice with a figure that's even bigger than their giganotosaurus.
Great video! I love watching your reviews especially since I don't always have enough money to spend all the new figures haha! Your videos are always super entertaining though so keep up the great work! (I love your horizon phone notification too even if it got in the video a few times lol)❤👍
I’m also confused on why PNSO doesn’t add lips to their theropods just because of how universal they are in tetrapods. But that mapu and meraxes look so good. I can’t put my finger on why carcharodontosaurs are so charming. I do wanna start getting figures ( that aren’t dollar store or chinasaur) but idk where to start.
There's something about the Carcharodontosaurus that looks saggy that the rest don't really have, thankfully. It's a shame they had to use the outdated "Pinocchio" 90s skull restorations that make it longer than we think it was nowadays 😩😩 but MUNGO whew so SO good from his pose to his colours to his headsculpt 😮💨😮💨😮💨
9:00 that scared me so bad 😭 I already have the Carchar and I completely agree-super photogenic model. Now picking between the Mapu and the Merax is still a puzzle to be solved…
I def recommend Meraxes first- Mapusaurus is very pretty too but the posture makes it annoying to work with with the stand it has. If you want a frustration free experience for your first choice, I def recommend Meraxes :)
Getting the Meraxes soon, I'm really glad it's a good figure. I'd seriously recommend the 1 to 35 scale haolonggood daspletosaurus figure. It's half the price of the PNSO one, but twice as good in my opinion.
about mapusaurus, best option to use a stand is to put it under the left arm, with this U shape upper part postioning straight with the body. This works flawlessly.
2:20 I would had said it looks like the Carch was on a goth-phase, but I like yhe oil one better. After all, Carcharodontosaurus was from a Middle East North African country, they got plenty of that Texas Tea
I have two PNSO dinosaurs that are Carcharodontosaurus and Suchomimus. With others i have about 200 figures. What i want to buy so much is PNSO Ceratosaurus (huge)
Wait a minute is anyone giving AVP Requiem vibes to muto Prime getting impaled with a tail and King ghidorah getting a and getting stabbed and the nuke oh my God it's an Illuminati😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
After watching the episode of "Your Dinosaurs are Wrong" about Giganotosaurus where he talks about the presence of raised vertebrae creating two humps in Meraxes similar to (though less extreme than) Concavenator, I'm kind of sad that Meraxes doesn't have a hip and tail hump to make it more visually distinctive from the other Carcharodontosaurids.
So the four carcharodontosaurs, that being Giga, Carchar, Mapu, and Meraxes are kinda like siblings (if i'm not mistaken). Lucas the Giganotosaurus is the oldest, Gamba the Carcharodontosaurus is the old middle child, Mungo the Meraxes is the young middle child, and Mila the Mapusaurus is the youngest.
At this point really it’s beating on the dead horse on the lips versus lipless debate. I don’t care if they’re a pod side lips are not even though that for me, I’m more into the lipless debate, but I do quit until we find a mummy we will know the truth. According to Dr. Thomas carr who is a tyrannosaur expert

Ye also mapusaurus is my favorite dinosaur

Thank you, that means so much!!
The meraxes gigas was the first pnso Model I got it was definitely worth it such a great figure!

I honestly think a PNSO figure is a great place to start- kinda in the mid-price range with some great options.
@@TheSpinoDude Good to know cause that meraxes is very tempting. It's between that and the deinocheirus for me.
@@ichthyovenator3351 ooo that's a tough one- out of the two, I say Deinocheirus. But both of them are great.
@@TheSpinoDude Honestly, with my tendancy towards large theropods, an unusual ducky boi might be a nice change of pace.
Start w Mattel!! It might not seem like much, but the adventure of collecting will get thrilling and enjoyable overtime

I agree fully on what you said about lips on dinosaurs. To me it always looks like they rotted off if they have teeth showing xD

Carchar 0:50 to 2:37 mapu 2:38 to 4:40 meraxes 6:41 to 9:56
I think the Mapusaurus would work as my Giganotosaurus. I like this new format. Suprised you didnt review Carch in 2021 haha
lol, I actually have the Safari Giga standing on my desk while watching this video. Its my favourite figure in my collection.
SpinoDude Is the guide on how to draw the dinosaur included in the little booklet that comes with the Carcharodontosaurus?
Nice review.
What do you think of new Daspleto tho
Thank you! I don't like the Dasplet, it's cursed. The new Lythronax announced this morning is great tho.
@@TheSpinoDude WAIT THERES A LYTHRO WAT WAT
I hope PNSO release a Tyrannotitan someday
Oh yeah a fun fact Queen muto is an it's a smaller version of the muto prime
pekny model super 😉🙋♀️

Carcharodontosauridae Family
Will you review their therizinosaurus? It’s the most excited I’ve been for a pnso figure apart from the deinocheirus!
I see the Mapusaurus to be an underated dinosaur
Haolonggood’s Carcharodontosaurus makes you forget PNSO’s

The acrocanthosaurus (forgot the name) can be the weird uncle in the family
Nice!!!

As for the Mapusaurus just put the forepaw on the circle of the pedestal
bro you just fucking saved my figure
you're a legend
The only thing that bothers me about PNSO figures is that they have no lips

Apparently pnso thinks that Mapusaurus is slightly bigger than Giganotosaurus.
It’s unclear, but they were obviously very similar in size.
