In this VladTV clip, Dallas Austin spoke on getting Chilli of TLC pregnant. Austin noted that he had to tell Pebbles that Chilli was his girlfriend, and ultimately noted that Chilli ended up having a miscarriage from the stress caused by Pebbles.

How are you going to tell TLC to not date men in the industry so that they won't look "whorish" or groupie-like, yet you got knocked up by a married man at 17 (a business magnate) and later got knocked up by a man in the industry whom you married while your were pregnant? Pebbles's success is largely attributable to the opportunities that were granted to her through the men she slept with as opposed to raw talent. Let's be brutally honest: Talent-wise, Pebbles was no Whitney, Mariah, Micki Howard or Stephanie Mills. Her voice was mediocre at best.

Pebbles should never have gone into management with her husband PEBBITONE. Donna Summer went through the same beal with her label the wife was her manager and the husband owned the record company. She got out of the contract because of a conflict of interest. If TLC had good lawyers they should have gotten out of that contract quicker and not owe Pebbles or LA a dime. Instead, they had to pay Pebbles and she owned their music for the first 2 albums. The tragedy is that artist today are still signing bad contracts the record industry needs a union like motion pictures and Broadway.
The problem was that Pebbles's lawyer was also TLC'S lawyer.
