I enjoy a variety of drinks, but the ones I love the most-and am somewhat addicted to-are coffee, bubble tea, and smoothies. Drawing inspiration from the distinctive characteristics of each beverage, I created a dynamic installation. The chewy and bouncy nature of boba in bubble tea prompted me to incorporate machinery that simulates its bouncing movement, allowing the glass ball to move up and down.
My daily reliance on coffee led me to symbolize this addiction by including machinery that makes the bottom part spin, symbolizing a continuous cycle and my unbroken habit of coffee consumption. Smoothies, known for their icy coolness, are represented through a color scheme of white and blue, evoking a sense of chill.
Furthermore, the installation's curved and round design mirrors the shape of the cups and bottles associated with these three drinks, adding a thematic cohesion to the piece.
