let’s remember “at your exact weight your someone’s dream girl” and that goes for every physical and personality attributes. the exact way you are you’re someone’s dream person
I wanted to add to the point around 'weight loss for a man' I have done that before because an ex told me i was too big (then he dumped me) - i lost the weight. Then the next BF told me I was too small!!! So it got to a point where i had to decide what I was happy with. I realised that I needed self validation and not validation from other people. So I FULLY understand why you said it was a dangerous mindset to have.
Tbh best thing is to train and eat and healthy and whatever size you is whatever size you are. Aslong as you’re doing what you need to do be the best version of yourself you will attract whoever will be accepting of that.
Personal trainer here; I have a client that has an eating disorder and that is a mental challenge already. She’s now been prescribed with ozempic and it has been helping her lose weight but hurting her mental health. That rapid weight loss does a number on the body and the psyche.
Until you’ve been overweight and struggled to lose weight you will never understand. I took ozempic to help me lose weight and it changed my life. But just like anything else YOU have to do the hard work to change your habits and become more active if you plan to keep the weight off. Because if you don’t it will all come back once you are off, it is not a long term fix. Do it for you first and if the thought of doing it for your partner motivates you, okay then 🤷🏽♀️ but don’t do it FOR them.
My mom calls it "Happy weight" , because couples tend to have midnight snacks , etc. I would never eat after 10pm when I was single but now my hubby will come in with takeout at 11pm 😂
Thank you Tammy for coming in with the facts with weight loss surgery, ozempic, and just one’s relationship with weight gain. It’s a common assumption that weight loss surgery is a “quick fix” that doesn’t address the underlying causes. What most don’t understand, is in order to even get the green light for the surgery you have to work with dietitians on correcting eating habits, losing a certain amount of weight to even be allowed to do it, and overall showing the doctors that you will be consistent with the aftercare of the surgery. For women like Sharon and Beatrice who have the privilege of being smaller, to say what is okay (losing weight for yourself) and what is not (losing weight for others or purely aesthetic reasons), it didn’t sit right with me. Plus, Sharon talking about how weight loss surgery can affect pregnancy…that’s a huge statement and one I think shouldn’t have been said without full facts.
This!!! Bc Tammy was the only one speaking logically on that subject. Its odd to have an issue with someone who is doing things with their partner in mind. Just as Tammy said, what is the issue in that even if that is the case? Since when is it “dangerous” to be motivated in your relationship? I can see from how most of these episodes go who has a man, who cant keep one, and who doesn’t want to admit that they need one. Truly sad, great comment for sure! Took the words out of my mouth!
@@oikawaiii if the man then says he doesn't like skinny women itd harm her emotionally. You should never do anything regarding your body for someone else. I'm a big person but in my relationships I never consider losing weight to keep them.
😂 Durban is pronounced "dir-ban". As in the "dir" in dirty and the "ben" in benevolent. Hope this helps😂 Also, SA comrades, please don't assassinate me in the comments.
I’m sorry BEATRICE is RIGHT!!! Seek your OWN validation before you seek ANY from ANYONE! It is VERYYYY dangerous to YOUR MENTAL HEALTH!!! I don’t understand why Tammy and Sharon find it hard to understand… esp Tammy and she’s a big girl like myself! Ah
In America, it depends on the type of insurance you have. For some insurance providers, you have to have tried some things first before going on Ozempic. Diet/exercise, metformin, etc. Same idea for gastric band: you have to be cleared by a surgeon as a “good candidate”. Meaning, you weigh so much that if you actually to exercise it off, you’re at risk of hurting yourself. It’s usually >300 pounds.
I think the dilemna sender needs to talk to her partner above anything else. Have a conversation instead of trying to fix it alone and in secret. The frequency of sex itself might not be a deal breaker, but it's the sudden change that made him concerned since they weren't communicating.
Nah not me thinking of Drake taking ozempic pills. After seeing this title. 😭...its safe to say the Kendrick Lamar vs Drake Rap Battle lives rent free in my head...but let me comment more later and i urge you who is reading this to comment too. Like, share and subscribe.
Love the pod girls keep the good work 🎉🎉 but as a recommandation : maybe add some segments to rythme the pod, maybe starting directly on a dilemma or a a game then go on with life update, then something else. As you guys only start with the song of the week around minute 15 or 17, it makes the beginning slow, although I love hearing you guys say. But I would recommend starting strong to keep the attention. And also starting the episode with some strong moments the episode to retain attention of new viewers. 🥰 I hope this helps
You loose weight because for YOURSELF..to show respect to your own body and for your partner and your children so you can be the BEST version of yourself for them. Our bodies are temples and we need to start remembering that people outside of ourselves can be impacted if we dont treat our bodies like temples.
Beatrice is definitely right, it’s not bad but it’s 100% dangerous…especially when he’s never mentioned her weight to her, regardless i don’t think anyone who isn’t diabetic should be on it
Honestly was not feeling Beatrice and Sharon’s opinion about weight loss - they didn’t hit the mark and seemed super insensitive!! I usually love this podcast but deffo think I’ll take a break from it for bit💔
Please educate yourself before having such a STRONG opinion on sensitive subject such as weight lost and body image. Beatrice stance lack education/knowledge on different avenues on weight lost. You all should do another podcast with an MD or someone who is knowledgeable on this subject. This would clear a lot of misconception and educate a lot.
The baby will get the nutrients regardless. Weather it be from what you eat or your bones and so on. That’s why some people loose their teeth or iron goes low.
Imagine loosing weight for a damn man and next thing he cheats with a woman far bigger than you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. And they say women are complicatedoo. Love your podcast. From South Africa 🇿🇦
Was Beatrice not listening to the same episode as us? Her opinion on the girl losing weight is so flawed because never did the caller mention she was losing weight for her man
Been watching this podcasts for months and I have to say, quite disappointed in Beatrice’s attitude towards people’s personal struggles with their bodies/weights. As someone who was once obese and is now a healthy weight, if you’ve never had such issues, you will never understand how hard it is to retrain your body/mind’s relationship with food. Losing weight can take months, retraining your mentality around food takes years. Please be more sensitive towards the strife of others and give a little grace, you never know what situations others have experienced that put them in their current position.

Always be yourself and tolerate guys that accept you for you

Completely agree with Beatrice! You need to do things for yourself and not for the validation of others. It’s a toxic mindset.

Hi, can you tell me how you went about using it please?
I love when you guys start with a long intro like this, it sets the tone for the episode; rather than going straight to the dilemmas
Yessss me too!
Tammy made me laugh with the successful 👆 and faithful👇

I agree with Beatrice- you gotta do it for . Stop looking for external validation
TAMMMMYYYY is such vibes 😂😂😂😂 not even 1 min in - always love her introductions❤❤
Beatrice face killed me after Tammy read the dilemma 😂😂😂😂😂

Beatrice, I agree with you concerning the dilemma. She’s doing it mainly to keep her man.
Yea, I wish they would have re-read it..because it was something like..
“If I keep gaining weight, I don’t want him to leave me”
Beatrice is definitely right, it’s not bad but it’s 100% dangerous…especially when he’s never mentioned her weight to her, regardless i don’t think anyone who isn’t diabetic should be on it
100% right I didn’t like the way she was stifled
"Shush! in the name of Jesus" took me OUTTTTT

Beatrice you coming across a bit insensitive, weight loss is not one size fits all.
That’s what I was thinking… I was like noooo B
Editing tip: blur the mouth with the bleep because people can read lips. Just to help with anonymity.

about the song, if it's spelled DURBAN it's pronounced DRR - BAHN
