One of my favorite subtle moments is when the land ship got attacked, it wasn't Din who airlifted Grogu, it was Paz and Axe. They saw danger, they didn't question the priority.
It was also dumb as fuck. Let me tell you, the Mandalorians aren't the brightest bunch at all. They saw that thing from a mile away and drove the ship right under it. Idiots.

Thank you as always, Johnny!
Apparently people don't understand the need to build the story. You have to set up the important moments for them to have an actual impact. If they went and retook Mandalore in episode 3 that would have made zero sense.
Exactly some of these reactors clearly don't get that and just want action every episode smh this season was great and has a good build up. Of course the last 2 episodes are always the more action packed and the best ones. That doesn't make the whole season bad.
Yeah, and plus do they all like not remember we were thinking the entire Season 3 would be about Djarin's journey to take a redemption bath? Well that wrapped up in two episodes and the plot moved forward much faster. It's everyone forgetting the question "Why did Luke go into exile if he felt responsible? What else do we not know about?" all over again.
Yup! Totally agree with you guys! Sooooo many reaction channels over the past year/year 1/2 (especially the ones that blew up during quarantine) have gotten to the point where they do nothing but complain now, it's fckn ridiculous lol. They sound like a bunch of spoiled and ungrateful little cry babies, alllll because they’re not getting what THEY WANT and what THEY EXPECT.
Johnny once again delivering the goods🔥 Paz went out like a chad. Mando acting like an irritated dad was great. Moff Gideon’s dark trooper suit looking like a blacked out mandalorian super commando. Gideon’s imperials with beskar armor looked like a mix between the imperial mandalorians from rebels (McQuarrie Proto Boba) with (Solo) patrol trooper colors. As always love the bits with Grogu, especially with the Anzellan “NO SQUEEEZIE, BAD BABY” Also don’t mind IG-12 at all. Great episode. Loved that there was some world building with the imperial forces across the Galaxy. Hot topic was Thrawn, and it’ll be interesting to see how they elaborate on how they got hint of his return. Mandalorian really is turning out to be for the sequel trilogy what the clone wars was to the prequels.
I totally agree, dude. If there's two people that I trust that will handle the lore of Star Wars above anyone else, it's definitely Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni!
The "Yes, yes, yes!" is giving Ellie vibes. I keep seeing reactions where people are wondering where the beskar came from. The Imperial Army gave Din the beskar for his armor.
The forge HAS BEEN Gideon's hiding spot this entire time. Those bays were tie bombers did not just show up a week earlier. He had setup shop and was mining beskar for a minute. I think most everyone did not catch that. During the initial big fight scene the mandos start falling back and they go into this... tunnel. During that shot I said "where the fuck are they that suddenly has electricity and working components?!" - because the forge had been abandoned for... quite a long time. Did no one pick up on this? Gideon built up a huge installation in the forge. The mandos did not walk into a trap, per se, they unwittingly walked into Gideon's base and got nabbed
That moment when Din says he follows Bo not because she has the darksaber but because of her honor, loyalty and character. You can see her blush a little bit. Bodin is cute.
Omg right?! I also think she just really needed that confidence boost and getting it from him was just the icing on the cake. I love this moment because while it can definitely be construed as romantic, it also shows how much respect and admiration they have for each other.
I've been saying that the reason Bo-Katan is the leader that the Mandalorians need now has been shown consistently this season: she's a protector who knows when it's more important to protect what they love than to focus on destroying what they hate. (Yes, one of the core lessons of The Last Jedi, the idea of which I LOVE they brought back) And when the Mandalorians are in such shambles, it's always time to be protecting. She saves Djarin multiple times despite her animosity toward him, she's also very protective of Grogun, she was very engaged in the mission to save Ragnar, and she refused to kill Axe Wolf after defeating him over leadership. And we now find out she also tried to do the same to the Empire, and although she was betrayed and the idea backfired in the end, leaving Mandalore destroyed, it's not something she can really be blamed for under those circumstances. Those are the qualities of a leader that the Mandalorians needed at this point, not whether a silly laser sword (no matter how higher-powered it is over regular lightsabers or how much symbolism it holds) got to her by combat. I loved how she points out the Mandalorian tendency to put too much importance on violence ends up being their weakness. Anyway, I loved this season and I'm excited for where the Mandalorians will go from here.
Yes! Facts! That’s why I love her so much. And she’s open to having her mind changed. Just look at her attitude towards Din’s clan. And it’s Grogu. This wasn’t my favorite season, but I still enjoyed it and loved her arc.
I actually cheered when I saw Captain Pellaeon in the opening. Costuming and make up was perfect for him (THE MUSTACHE) and they seemed to have got his characterization down to - supporting Thrawn, a lot more level headed/less egotistical than the other council members and pragmatic (he acknowledges that Gideon is right to focus his efforts putting down the Mandalorians). I can’t wait to see him and Thrawn on screen together 😀
Mandalorians vs Imperial Beskar Commandos definitely took a page out of the John Wick play book with blaster proof armor and having to shoot or stab at weak spots to kill their enemies. And it’s awesome!
Moff Gideon said their armor was made of a beskar alloy (a mixture of a metal and another component) so it wasn’t pure beskar. My understanding of Mandalorian armor is that it’s supposed to be made of pure beskar (but I could be mistaken) So if Moff Gideon needed to mix another element with the beskar in order to outfit all his Commandos maybe the Commandos armor wasn’t as strong as the Mandalorians…just conjecture on my part but it had me wondering why Moff Gideon would use an alloy instead of pure beskar 🤷🏻♀️
Best episode of Season 3!!! Holy hell, this episode was incredible! The return of Moff Gideon is such a welcome piece. Giancarlo Esposito is an incredible actor. The tease of the Thrawn return is really setting up the Ahsoka series. The sacrifice of Pas Vizsla is really emotional. I damn near cried. This show almost got me like with the sacrifice of IG-11 in the Season 1 Finale. Godspeed, Pas. *This is the Way.* But, also, all of these Mandalorians are badass. I also liked the reveal of why Gideon had the Darksaber before. Also, Din Djarin is a loyal you-know-what. Him pledging allegiance to Bo-Katan was beautiful. Grogu in the IG-12 is a certified toy to be sold (hella cute though). As for who was the inside person in the rank, my money is on The Armorer, Axe Wolves, Koska Reeves or those 3 Mandalorians who were on that pirate ship. Those are my guesses. Unlike others, I'm not cynical towards Season 3. I do acknowledge that it could have been better written and structured. However, despite questionable writing and developments, I've enjoyed the 3rd season. Can't wait for the finale!
About time! Can’t wait for the finale. This episode was great. Grogu doing Grogu things and Din’s frustrations. And the shadow counsel meeting and the Thrawn name drops. And pirate ship Mandos and Bo’s story finally. And of course Pasz going out like an OG! Rest in power my man.
I never understand why people hate it... Even watched some reviews saying that we're emotional trash for supporting this... Again We're thinking of the bigger picture
I like how at the beginning with Moff Gideon having his own plans is definitely foreshadowing for Thrawn showing up and killing him whenever we see him in Ashoka
I haven't watched the last episode just yet and I'm glad that I didn't. The brilliant editing of each reaction by *J20* is god-tier personified. My favorite funny reactor is the lady who said the senior imperial warlords were doing a "ZOOM CALL." lol
I highly suggest, if you’re still hung up on “who are the other spies”, watching Omn1media video on the New Rockstars’ breakdown of this episode (7). He gives an explanation of how we are probably misinterpreting the meaning of “Spies”. I’m not to try to explain it but will say (to me…and him) it makes perfect sense. The important part is within the first few minutes (before breakdown). I understand people don’t like doing homework to watch a show but in this case it’s worth it (IMO).
I laughed everytime I heard variations of “I wish we had this all season.” People say they want it, until you get it. This season may have been off & on but if I recall from season 1 & 2, the last 2 episodes always go all out.
Everyone: Thrawn! That one reactor: is he some big bad I should know about? Yes. Yes he is. Watch Rebels. Or read the books. People who’s first look at Thrawn will be in Ahsoka are in for a real treat.
"This is what I wanted to happen four episodes ago". If folks would stop going into movies and shows with expectations, and just go along for the ride, I think they'd enjoy themselves more.
Her speech about saying that all she has is the darksaber to unite her people is a reason why it was destroyed now she knows she leads them without some fancy weapon saying she does she rules because her people stand behind her and not a weapon
Also I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video: "I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible. The episode is and the season as a whole is essentially this re-told!"
Where to even start. First off, loved the extended reaction, would love to see more. Secondly, loved the scenes with the Shadow Council, the two factions of Mandalorians teaming up, but was disheartened by the death of Paz Vizla. Everyone was so excited for this episode, and so heartbroken when it ended, but for different reasons, which was hilarious. I think that was one of Johnny’s best videos so far.
Same structure every season. People just have ADD and no memories. Big Bad doesn't show up until episode 7. This season actually gave him to us earlier, because it was at the start of episode 7 instead of at the very end. This season has been fun, and almost the exact same structure as the previous seasons. And honestly more interesting episode to episode than season 1, which no one remembers was really slow due to world building.🤷♀
The episode that got the season back on track and confused a lot of people of who the spy/spies are. The studio didn't hold back on the budget for this one. Thanks for the compilation Johnny. Can't wait for the season finale compilation.
The bit with IG12 gets me cackling every time. Grogu’s like look daddy I can walk and communicate now! Ok but I think this episode for Bo Katan jumped my respect for her up like 10 notches. It had been creeping up all season, but once we found out how she lost the dark saber and why, my remaining hesitations disappeared. And that scene with her and Din on the ship after gets me every time. He has a way of knowing exacyly what to say to give someone the confidence they need and in her case make her feel worthy of ruling again. She’s experienced so much failure and loss and betrayal in her life. Din telling her that she was enough because of who she is and in spite of her failures regardless of her bloodline was beautiful and exactly what she needed. And that vow he made. I hope he continues to make good on it in s4. And the action scenes were so good! Pasz went out like a true Mandalorian. A truly honorable death sacrificing himself for Bo and the others. I respect that.
It is very frustrating to see how the Star Wars fandom does not know how to respect the construction and evolution of a script. There were reactors who complained that this episode should have happened earlier. I honestly don't understand this stupidity. What do people want? Shot, bomb, explosion and an empty story, without narrative construction? The cancer of Star Wars is the fandom itself. ps: I can already hear the barking of complaints because of the season finale
+Natalia Fontoura Ironically, this whole comment is toxic itself. Everyone is a Star Wars fan in their own right, even me. I became a SW fan due to The Sequel Trilogy/Disney Era and The Mandalorian. Even I, as someone who thought S3 was nice, think there should have been some agency and urgency to this season other than the first two episodes and the last two episodes. Again, I still enjoyed the season as is. I'm just saying...
Hay un punto que de ser tan fans de star wars te juega en contra y criticas mas en vez de disfrutar la serie .. Ami me parecio buena la temporada 3.. Pero no me volvi un fans toxico..
So many people are like "we finally have a villain." He was ALWAYS the villain. We knew he was there working in the background. Just because you don't SEE the villain doesn't mean he isn't doing things. They've been dealing with his schemes the whole season.
Damn, it hadn't occurred to me before, but a Vizla (Pax) sacrificing themselves to protect a Kryze (Bo-Kataan) is kind of a big deal. Its as if the Montagues and Capulets (or the Hatfields and the McCoys, take your pick with the cultural reference,) decided to set everything aside and fight on the same team. Sort of a big deal in terms of Mandalorian unification.
"Mandalore has always been too powerful for any enemy to defeat. It is always our own division that destroys us." You sure you're not talking about America?

Man grinded to get this video out, thanks sm!
Rip paz he was a gerat dad and a honorable mandalorian
The Zoom Room of Doom 😂
Her speech about saying that all she has is the darksaber to unite her people is a reason why it was destroyed now she knows she leads them without some fancy weapon saying she does she rules because her people stand behind her and not a weapon
Great episode. Even better editing by Johnny!
The monopoly comment took me out 😂😂😂😂
Paz Vizsla = Jon Favreau exiting his own series like a champ!!
people were so quick to think the armorer was sus 😄
Also I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video:
"I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible.
RIP Paz Visla 😢 Don't worry about Regnar he will be like you and taking over Visla Legacy One day, you have my and Din Djarin word "This is the Way"
The episode that got the season back on track and confused a lot of people of who the spy/spies are. The studio didn't hold back on the budget for this one. Thanks for the compilation Johnny. Can't wait for the season finale compilation.
2:22 The Legends fan in me is like
"I knew I wasn't crazy!"
I like the part where Grogu was stopping them from fighting each other he’s basically saying fight together not against
Grogu has a Gundam now!
I love that bit
BAD BABY, NO SQUEEZIES
It is very frustrating to see how the Star Wars fandom does not know how to respect the construction and evolution of a script. There were reactors who complained that this episode should have happened earlier. I honestly don't understand this stupidity. What do people want? Shot, bomb, explosion and an empty story, without narrative construction?
The cancer of Star Wars is the fandom itself.
ps: I can already hear the barking of complaints because of the season finale
+Natalia Fontoura
Ironically, this whole comment is toxic itself.
Dose anybody agree with me that greef karga is one of those uncles that give the nephew or nieces somthing they shouldn’t really have at a young age
*"Ohhhh, there's pies?"*
😉
Another brilliant compilation bro'!
he could have called any other one of them “primitives” but he had to call the biggest one a primitive.
The patreon list gets longer and longer. Love to see it
The extended cut! 🔥🔥
Everyone getting excited by Thrawn while all but a few sleepin on Thrawn's bestie in Gilead Pellaeon aka the best Imperial around.
I love before the attack everyone questioning about moff gideon suprise and yes that really happend.
can you please please please release the extended cut of the finale too !!
Been waitin to see everyone else’s reactions keep it up w the mando and marvel work bro!
So many people are like "we finally have a villain."
He was ALWAYS the villain.
This episode is the Most Insanely of all the series and three seasons.
The volunteering scene reminded me of The 13th Warrior
"YES, YES, YES"
Jotaro that you?
I’m excited to see what you do with 3x8! 👏
Cant wait to see another extend cut
"Mandalore has always been too powerful for any enemy to defeat. It is always our own division that destroys us."
You sure you're not talking about America?
It’s very “history of Rome” too.
"Mr. F**kknucles" tho!
"That was the best episode so far." YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT'S NEXT 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Am i the ONLY ONE who noticed Skinny Pete went from meth head to mandalorian!?!? where the breaking bad fans at!?
