Good job on the build, very clean and pretty. Quick note on the frig, im seeing more often people putting the frig inside a wooden box, really not recommended because it needs a lot more cooling than just a few holes. Ideal for it to be in the open so the frig doesn't work so hard.
Lovely, very resourceful - with much appreciation for technical aspects of explanation...for/from one who usually wants to run in the other direction from such! This will be helpful for the near future - thank you!!
Very creative build. You could probably take all of the measurements and sell the plans. I would like to see it in use, packed full of stuff, instead of empty. I like your electrical system doing 12 volt only. Havelock wool would be my choice for insulation also.
It's very nice, I want to have like this since I have ford transit connect 2012 as well, and I plan to be able to camping as well. Please suggest where can I build something similar like this one. Nina Florida Miami
Hi. Great build!!! It's just me and my German Shepherd service Dog Archer building a camper van in a 2016 Ford Transit connect cargo van. It is gutted and were just starting. I have a new Jackery 880, ICECO20 refrigerator/freezer, DISC-O-BED top and bottom cots to put in it. I chose the cots because I can take them apart into 2 bags. The fridge can do half and half or all fridge. My question is, with the Jackery 880, do I need to do all you did, or can I just run some kind of hookups to my Jackery for everything you have? All your lighting etc? I just don't know the best way to hook everything up. Charging is easy. Also the insulation is 100 square feet for $150. One box is enough? Can I do the floors also? My buddy hasn't even seen the ocean yet, and we live in Florida. I play guitar and sing gospel songs and will travel the USA to different churches. Just enjoy life, and people we meet. Going to watch all of your videos. Probably get the answers to the questions I asked. You really got me stoked. I want to leave yesterday. You can probably tell I am excited. Can't wait to see my buddy running in the mountains, breathing in that cool air. Hope to see you. David and Archer
Super exciting David! I’m sure you can run phone chargers and your fridge off the jackery. I’m not sure how you would run lights or a ceiling fan as ours are made to be hardwired, but I’m sure someone has done it. I have a friend with a jackery and they just bought battery operated led puck lights and they just swap the batterys when they need to. The lights only really run at night for a few hours so battery operated would last awhile. I ended up needing about a box and a quarter of the wool. Havelock ended up selling me a half box when I emailed them. I’m sure you could get by with one box, but I was pretty aggressive with how much I used. I used it on the floor as well. The cool part about the camper van life is that everyone does it a little different. There is a great Transit Connect Campervan group on Facebook that was helpful during our build. Good luck and have fun!!
I SO APPRECIATE your info, the importance of fuses, battery monitor, etc. as a old unskilled at electrical anything, other then the static in my hair🙃, procures both the 340 Jackery, & incoming bluetti 2000, I'm hoping the error will run my fridge specific, using the jack fur all other USB smalls. Your recommendation would be appreciated, on WHAT SIZE SOLAR PANELS, Ya think? 200? Thank u, I trust your knowledge, & the honesty about renigy, 🙃 appreciated, safe journey
Hi Kristine! I am not the builder of the van and he can’t see your question, however I use a Goal Zero 500 with a 50 watt panel to power my 12v fridge and it does fine, so a 200 should be ok (check with Bluetti I’m sure they will have a suggestion depending on your fridge). I also have a 12v plug so I can power my battery pack while I’m driving as well.
What about ☔ rainy days? .....if everything is accessed from the outside? That electrical system is way too complicated 4me. I just want a "Jackery" portable power station...a whole lot simpler....I also don't see a toilet 🚽; gotta have one 4 middle of the night, rainy days and just those "not convenient 2 get out" times.
"is this the best camper van build ever?" No, but its a great build, though! I would suggest ventilation under the mattress so you dont get mold. Overall, its lovely and creative ☺️
Both y'all look really tall. Y'all have any regrets about buying a tiny van instead of a high roof? How do y'all cook food? If it rains like crazy and or the only parking is at Walmart it's a little difficult to pull everything out and make dinner, no?
@@jeffreyday2414 People get excited about their tiny living spaces and grossly exaggerate the volume of storage contained within them which is amusing and quaint.
So... The way that I think about van builds... Never invest more than you bear being stolen, totaled, or discarded. In other words... Consider the money gone forever the minute you spend it. It's called "sunk costs." Don't put your heart and soul into anything that depreciates 20+% a year. The cost of possession is higher than ever these days.
The blurry video in the beginning gets better - operator error :)
Lol I thought my WiFi was coughing when I turned it to 1080p 60fps
Finally, after a thousand camper van videos, someone is finally making sense. Simple lighting and electrical system. Can I get an amen!
The explanations are easier to understand. Beautiful build.
Thank you!

One of the best builds with an excellent narrative. Thank you.😊
Thank you for watching!
Good job, very beautiful! I hope you have lots of fun traveling and making memories together ❤
Dang This dude is talented!! Always wanted a van conversion.
Really well thought out build. Nice to keep it light and neutral, seems larger.
I would like to see how people get out of bed in any of these transit connect conversions.
Im currently building a little camper thats the van twin to this one. Lots of great ideas.
OMG... Are they out there already. He didn't tell me that. Love his build videos. Always a little humor with them.

This is a great build and gave me tons of ideas if I ever find the perfect transit connect
Epic! can't believe you done all that in a transit connect

There are so many other ppl rhatve come before w this exact layout though
Very nice job. The bed platform should have ventilation holes also. Enjoy your journey...
Very nice clean build!
Very nice. Interested in your slide water container. Looking to do the same with my fridge
Very Nice. Need to more updates on your channel
Stay tuned, I'm working on more content and will have a new video out on Monday. Thanks for watching!

How did you ensure that the bed brace on the cabinets could hold enough weight for a person sleeping?
Can you extend the shelf in the closet where the water is stored to utilize the whole width of the closet?
Good idea!
Your build is rock solid
How much something like this total cost with the van?
How do you access the brake light/ tail light assembly if you ever have a light bulb go out since they are now covered by cabinetry?
How about winter time? Is this a warm camper van in the winter. How do you keep it warm in the winter?
❤your build
are you going to cook outside in -40?
Nice !
Do you have any campers for sale
What about the bed?
Hi nice job. Is the xlt a high top? Thanks
I don't think this is the high top version.

See my Honda Element Camper Van Video - that would be perfect. And a Clam Pop Up Screen House is perfect for rainy days! Thanks for watching!

There’s definitely wasted space in that water cabinet, but overall it’s a great lil build.
Thank you for watching! :)
bed looks uncomfortable for two and the cushions are not very thick otherwise nice rig
Price of this??

I love how people say "tons of storage space in vans, tiny homes, etc. I have a closet that is literally bigger than your entire van.
What's you point?

I agree, even my cheap Honda Element “no build” build is worth way less than I put into it.
No it’s not. But it’s cute.
Bed is way too small
Too tight bed, without shower/toilette box...how it can be " the best van build ever"?
Too small for toilet.
No
No. It is not the best van build. Too much outdoor funktions. What if it is raining for days?
Hi! I guess the same for any van, you could have an awning, or just go home lol.
Lol love the raw honesty

Do you by chance, sell your expertise?? I want exactly what you've done but have no clue how to do it. What a fabulous build!! ❤️🚐🇨🇦
