    Great lesson but I recommend either showing the chords on screen or teaching each chord (as a beginner I don’t know most chords)

    hi, i dont know if you're still active, but do I immediately play the part where you play:
    4-5-7-7--
    -------------7/--- E Chord
    when I play the verse? or do I play the verse once I start playing the c5 chord? great tutorial btw!

    @matthewsimpson725 6 лет назад +2

    I wanted to know if you've noticed the same thing it seems like on the Nirvana unplugged set on the c chord and d ad 4 ad 9 it seems like he is doing a hammer on with his pinky on those chords. Can anyone confirm this? I was trying to figure it out but couldn't find a hammer on that sounded right

    • @MattBrownGuitar
      @MattBrownGuitar  6 лет назад +3

      I could be wrong, but I didn't catch either guitar doing that within either chord. When you're watching someone play, it's easy for your eyes to deceive you. I always like to say "listen with your ears, not your eyes"...;)

    • @matthewsimpson725
      @matthewsimpson725 6 лет назад

      Matt Brown thanks for responding!!! I can't believe I never noticed that you responded to me. It looks like there's a hammer on but I don't hear it so I think you're right here. By the way I love the channel you do songs nobody else has!

    What scale was this based off Of?

    • @MattBrownGuitar
      @MattBrownGuitar  6 лет назад +1

      The verses and choruses are in the key of E major, but there are a several chords that are outside of the key. For the solo, he's using the E minor pentatonic scale in combination with an F# note...Some people call that E minor hexatonic.
