Hey doctor, thank you so much for this video you are the only one that explains this so well. Just a question, should we use high speed or low speed when prepping the cavity?
There are videos for the mentioned procedures: - Class IV preparation, beveling, and restoration - Free-hand technique (1) (#42) - Arabic عربي : ruclips.net/video/2nqBYle9Q2E/видео.html - Class IV preparation and beveling - Maxillary central incisor (#21) - Arabic عربي : ruclips.net/video/gXc1u7Hxib4/видео.html - Box cavity preparation for composite restoration on a premolar (#25) - Arabic عربي : ruclips.net/video/NJ6uBeKrbYM/видео.html - Box cavity preparation for composite restoration on a molar (#36) - Arabic عربي : ruclips.net/video/xpM_7-hPVRE/видео.html I am not sure what you mean by conventional and modified preparation . For which class? Conventional class I and II preparation for composite and amalgam, and class I compound cavity preparation videos are available in the cavity preparation playlist.
Retention grooves for Class V should be placed on the axio-incisal (occlusal) and axio gingival line angles parallel to the external surface. They should be approximately 0.25 mm in depth and width, providing mechanical retention without compromising the tooth structure. This ensures stability for the restoration, especially with materials relying on mechanical rather than adhesive retention.
Dr. Afnan i’m a first year dental student here!! Thank you a lot this is super helpful :)
Glad it was helpful! Best of luck☺️

What's is the direction for retension grooves

@drafnanoalzain why do i feel I read somewhere that the grooves are buccolingual in direction?
A buccolingual direction wouldn’t give proper retention. The direction is incisogingival in a class V.
We bevel incisal and proximal margin only not bevel in gingival margin why
روعة بس بالله ..بلاش ميوزك عشان الذنوب و عشان اعرف اسمعه و اشيره لدفعتي
