It's that "stand up comic" thing. Yes, it is very difficult and not easy to put yourself out on stage to bomb but it is not hopping off a boat at Normandy like Shuli makes it out to be.
Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Bill Burr ... None of those guys have ever said how talented they are, yet Shuli reminds everyone constantly. He talks about how "everyone" loves his podcast, yet he's lucky to get over 1,000 views.

Honestly at that point in the show I thought Shuli was one of the few things making the show still funny. The work with the whack pack was great. Getting rid of him was a mistake. I don’t get this crap of just getting rid of people and getting the show so small that it’s just 2 people talking now. Like everyone is gone. No way Howard resigns again. He basically already has quit. He won’t come into studio. I still enjoy hearing Howard’s takes on things and how he can make funny moments out of nothing. But wish it was like it was 14 years ago

I am a diehard Stern Fan since 1980's when he took Philly by storm. So sick of these people he gave career life too especially Stuttering John. Robin, Fred and Gary have been with him for decades along with several other staff members. It's called Show BUSINESS and not everything goes the way people want. I loved Shuli and thought he was brilliant and the way he gained favor with UNDERDOG was a feat Sigfreid and Roy would envy. But his move down South came out of nowhere and that was jarring to the show.
With the exception of Artie, none of us would know any member of the show if it weren't for Howard. They actually got paid more than they would have with the same job at a different channel, and none of them succeeded when they left which tells you all you need to know.
It almost felt like he a was a major Trump guy and wanted to get away from Howard because of it
Richard Christy is very well known in the music world.
Even if you aren’t into them most musicians have heard of him.
Unfortunately with super hard metal, there is not much money in it anymore

Shuli was fantastic, always did a great Tan Mom, never got tired of him & 15 years that's an eternity in radio. Retiring from a show that has no end is no shame, Stern will be the last to go!

Two points on this topic, first off to be told you are going to be moved to part time on a Show like HSS is absurd (I don't care about them working in the studio or not), they should have least given Shuli a good severance package and told him they are streamlining the show staff, and let him go. Also, it shows that know matter how loyal you are, in the end it doesn't matter, I remember when Shuli was the Only Off Air staff member that committed to coming into the Studio during Hurricane Sandy. Gary's and Richards excuses were weak, even if something did happen to Gary's house (like a flood or tree falling on it, there is nothing he could have done about it, if I was in his situation, he could have easily just sent his family to a location to stay outside the storm area for a couple days). Richard was just looking to protect his Gold Fish and Hamsters, or whatever, it was lame. Always remember that, in the end loyalty often doesn't matter (if you want to be loyal for your ethics that's fine, but expect it to factor in later on when it comes to a job, etc.).
Shuli was also the only staff member that we didn't want coming into the studio during Hurricane Sandy. Didn't he sit on the Artie chair that week? Oof, that was a mistake
Remember when he told Sal and Richard that they had to pay their comedy dues. Shuli paid his dues and worked his way to the very bottom of comedy
