If you’ve read his book and watched his documentary you’ll know how hard he’s worked for this. I bet he’s pleased he gambled when he left that truck mechanic job and went at Strongman full time. Nicely done Eddie.
well not everyone can just quit their job and start lifting crazy weights, but I get you
Richard Were they can it’s just that not everyone can do that and become Worlds Strongest Man but they could do other things. Ross Edgley for instance is never going to be WSM but he can tow an car 26 miles and climb a rope equivalent to the height of Everest. Eddie is undoubtably a genetic freak (have you seen pictures of him as a teen, he’s massive) he said he put on stone in weight for every year he was alive. That’s not all down to genetics,that’s down to bloody mindedness. He had to sleep, alone, with a respirator get a good nights sleep, he had to force food down to gain the weight, on top of that put many hours in the gym.
I think overall he’s lucky he’s a genetic freak, he’s also lucky he’s got a very understanding Mrs, found a sponsor / manager to help him go pro and had the opportunity to make tv docs and RUclips videos. He needed the balls to take his chances and not be happy working on trucks all day, dreaming about what if.
hes made little money from WSM, hes made his money from his food TV show.
It's the 500kg lift that made him, then the wsm title was the final crown on his thrown that made him king beast, he definitely deserves it...
Remember seeing Eddie on the Netflix doc and seeing him working his nuts off for very little. The man deserves everything he gets👍

Always happy to see strongmen enjoying the rewards of their struggle. Eddie is amongst an elite group of dedicated strongmen that have helped take the sport from parking lots to professionally operated events
I've heard Eddie talk about how he had to go dead broke to make it in this, between food, supplements, recovery, he was spending every last penny on himself; but rightfully so. So great to see him in such a great place now after the risk and hardwork that he put forward.

Seeing Eddie do so well for himself really put a big fat smile on my face. After all the hard work this man has put in and the incredible things has done i'm really happy it paid off with more than "just" fame and titles. On another note i'm really happy for Alex after all the sacrifices she had to do in order for Eddie to get to this point.

I met Eddie about 3 years ago in Wigan and he deserves everything that's come his way. He's not a silver spoon job and it's definitely not down to luck either. As big as that house is, the rooms look quite small with Eddie passing through them, very good job mate, happy for you.
The house feels super small and clautrophobic inside. When he opened the front door there's like a foot of space before the stairs start.
