I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, and also very arachnaphobic, but I am in love with Lego Shelob! I'm so impressed with these sets, all the little details that went into them really make them amazing. Can't wait to get more.
It is the Phial of Galadriel, but the shiney inside of the phial is actually water from her fountain which was filled with light from Earendil's star. So, the Light of Earendil is also accurate.
I hate spiders, but Shelob is awesome. I'm thinking of getting this set because that part in the Two Towers (BOOK!!) was amazing, and who doesn't like Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol?
I know right. They just made a set of Anakin's jedi fighter and it's green GREEN! It should by yellow. You would think they'd be compatent enough to get that important detail.

Very thorough review, I've been wanting to get back into LEGO for a long time now, and this is the set that my girlfriend picked me up for christmas. It was really fun to play with these again, and I think it was a good set too!

I had the same problem when I built her. You really have to squeeze the butt in both ways really hard to acrually let it stay up.

This whole set should have come out 10 years ago when I was a kid. Now my wallet is suffering because of this.
All spiders are fragile on the legs so they can break it off in times of need. Besides, they will just grow it back by the next time they molt.

I don't think the legs are that fragile, I can throw it at the wall and it remains intact.
people that haven't seen lord of the rings probably think Frodo died because you said Frodo is dead when the spider stabs/bites him
