Rockstar has at least 5 lawsuits on record for crimes they committed, they harassed and attacked the entire modding community on social media and when’s the last time they’ve actually done really anything for the community aside from just little changes that most likely go completely unnoticed.
Consoles wouldn’t be able to handle it. FiveM is highly unstable as is. Sure, if Rockstar were to use their resources to fix it and rebrand it, it would probably be a lot more stable. Even with the things that rockstar COULD do, consoles still wouldn’t be able to handle it as they can hardly keep up with GTA Online in partial sessions. Not to mention the ton of restrictions that Rockstar would put on Console of which would eliminate about half of the fun… just.. no. I’m sorry but no. GTA 6 shouldn’t even be a thing because Rockstar can hardly manage GTA 5 (Online mainly) even before Rockstar started working on GTA 6. Last I knew, talk was that Rockstar wants to make a GTA 6 Online. Unless they plan to take FiveM and make that their GTA 6 Online… either way, Rockstar already needs new management and quite possibly new people all together aside from support.. Customer Support seems to have gotten better. Point being there’s a lot of improvements to be made even before GTA 6 and I have no doubt that GTA 6 is going to have issues too.
Some people might say that GTA 5 is old and that Rockstar may have improved.. I’m here to tell you, it hasn’t. Rockstar’s games got progressively worse over time and lawsuits followed. There was a lawsuit that followed GTA 5. Yes, typically businesses are sued a lot. But some of these lawsuits were just straight of violations whether it was breaking the law or adding content that was simply just way too horrible to begin with. Like in one of the games, there was (temporarily) a feature that allowed players to r*pe female npcs in the game. They got sued soon after the feature was discovered and it was removed.

Making a GTA 6 Online out of what I presume would be their version of FiveM would be worse than what GTA 5 Online is. I’m essentially saying that they’re taking on way more than they can chew and it’s going to cause a problem.

There's already micro transactions in FiveM with several server owners running pay-to-win servers with economies even worse than GTA Online.

GTA 5 wasn't made with online in mind, GTA 6 tho, we'll have to wait and see
