Incorrect, that is what they call a secure zone. You are allowed to cross that line as long as you do not enter other lanes parallel to it. And the driver probably needed to go straight and not turn, and he was in the stopping part of the turning lane, that is also why he was allowed to enter the zone. The taxi, in another case, broke the law by crossing the solid line to go into another lane, which is both illegal and could've likely caused an accident. In conclusion, the taxi was the one that broke the law, not the motorist.

Thank you, thank you. hahaha. Hey not everyone is perfect right? lmao. I am sure I also broke a few laws here, but at least I'm not hiding it.
Mr grobler yes that is how they drive on a daily basis n they don't care about other drivers or the terrified passengers they carry. I wonder how this can b resolved

In Hillcrest taxis always cause crashes
It's all the same all over Africa.. SA.. Swaziland.. Mozambique.. Kenya.. Zim.. Zambia... in my opinion there are just too many of this smaller mini-bus taxis... the government should stop issuing licenses... also the minimum age for public transport operator should be at least 40 years
0:13 the car driver crossed a solid line, car driver would have been at fault even if the taxi did cut in
Incorrect, that is what they call a secure zone.
At 2:59 you can see a police car there but he ain't gonna do anything
You have the dash cam footage and their licence plate numbers...report them to the traffic department.
The cops will do absolutely nothing
In answer to your question, what's being done about it, at least I see the traffic department clamping down heavily on these morons. The roadblocks even have trucks to cart them away as many of them have multiple warrants of arrest to their names and fines in the tens of thousands
It is always a pleasure hearing from someone that something is being done about it and that they see some positive change. Unfortunately I don't see that change yet. But I am sure that it will start taking course at certain areas and locations.
Thanks or the feedback
Go to Bali Indonesia and see how they drive there..
Been there and South Africa Is still much worse because they use weapons and intimidation even Thailand is better the traffic is a mess but its organised there.
LoL always trafic jam.
Not just about law enforcement but the taxi drivers have zero respect for anyone else on the road.
