He became an 'evil' because the bad past and revenge... If you really watching until the end, He's not bad for no reason. It's just a sad character that couldn't move from his past... more like desperate man, who his heart closed and believe that she the only source of happines... And what make it amazing was he wonderfully capture all the sad and bad emotion... So I suggest you to think again and watched it xD

The male lead when they were kidnapped left her alone just to save his pathetic self . He betrayed her. But Harry was the one who was always by her side when she needed someone the most. when she was in pain and suffering, dealing with the nightmares only Harry was by her side helping her even when he was also in so much pain and was dealing with his own nightmares but he never left her alone. But instead of choosing such a person she chose that damned male lead. Harry would have stopped his revenge only if she had choosen him and forwarded her hand to him when he needed her just as he did for her. That's why I hate the female lead. Even when she betrayed Harry he still couldn't bring himself to hurt her and could only kill himself instead of her.

I think you missed something. He might not have been innocent as he did kill but he genuinely cared for her. He didn't force her to leave the country and wasn't even her boyfriend. The only thing Harry asked her was to not leave him, she promised but she didn't and even lied in order to stay with Jung Woo. Harry actually mentioned a few times he wanted all three to be friends but they both just ignored him. He didn't kill people to trap her, he killed because he thought he was protecting her (just like he killed the real harry's abusive parents, to do him a favor, and he was actually grateful for it). I know it sounds twisted, and it is because he does have Borderline disorder, but leaving him alone was probably the worse Zoe could do. After she left him he panicked, didn't know what to do anymore. I hate how on most sites they label him as a 'psychopathic serial killer', no he's a killer with a mental illness and having a mental illness doesn't directly equal psychopath! I only wish he'd succeded in killing himself, because brain damage isn't enough to get rid of a mental illness, and he will eventually suffer again just as strongly as he did if he'll ever get his mind back even if he won't remember anything. The "finally at peace" ending is bullshit.
