- A Bucks County school district is removing two books from its library, the first in what could be a slew of bans district-wide.
Central Bucks School District says that it will no longer stock "Gender Queer" and "This Book is Gay" in its school libraries, two of 65 books the board is reviewing for what it calls "sexualized" content.

I fail to understand. playboy, penthouse, are banned from children. The school lock out access to a great many websites from their wifi system and then turn around and allow such books in their own library. If parents want their kinds exposed to such topics the internet is full of tons. Schools need to go back to teaching math and history and the like. They are trying to remove all our historical war monuments. What is left in history for the teachers to teach history when it is now a racist topic, Abraham Lincoln in the Emancipation Statue is now considered racist and has been removed in Boston Massachusetts. Like I said, history is now a racist subject. Now the teachers have to make their own history by teaching the children, LGBT and critical race theory.
Having read "This Book Is Gay" it would be best suited to be available at a high school late middle school.
Because by that age you have already had some form of sex ed. And/or having sex thoughts.

@@dabunnyrabbit2620 many years ago magazines like Playboy, Hustler, Cherry were available at several stores but they were on a rack behind the cashier with a cardboard that covered the magazines but told the name of the mag it was covering. The mags were not being sensors but it was an attempt to keep them out of the hands of kids. With the internet a kid can find and topic they wish but I'd still appreciate it there weren't books in elementary schools telling kids it's fun to be naked with older men but done tell your parents.

@@WenDormant24 Next time you eat at restaurant, pick up some fast food, or shop at a small store, see if the cashier can figure out your change or calculate a tip without a calculator or cash register. In the late 1990s I was told by a big city elementary school principal that they didn't teach kids math or have them memorize the times tables because it was a waste of time with calculators so cheap. At the time I was in my early 40s going to college for engineering. I was shocked at the number of younger students who couldn't do simple math in their head or even with pencil and paper. So, yes it is real.
As for history, if they teach it, 50/50 chance they are teaching the 1619 version and CRT about what a horrible racist country this is.

The young man who is charged with the recent murder of the Temple police officer lived in this school district. His parents are divorced and at the time of the murder he was living with his mother and her wife. I'd be interested to hear their thoughts on how exposing young minds to non-traditional lifestyles effects the mental health of those young people. Progressives often have an interesting outlook on life.

At our local library they have and child graphic novel section and I a person "child" I know took out the gender queer book and librarian dident care the book is inappropriate and disgusting

There is more than sex in that book, with actually useful tips. Also, it is not better talking to your parents about it, since most likely they’ve never had the experience.
