I think your beautiful solo on Antonio Hart’s recording “Black Children” is in the style of Woody Shaw. Especially how you start the solo with those three staccato quarter notes. The intervals, surprising changes of pace, the echoing and answering melodic lines and overall storytelling and composition of the solo are reminiscent of Woody’s particular melodic language.
